Windows & Doors Department –
I’ve had one of the most frustrating experiences with the Windows & Doors department at this Home Depot.
I needed a custom deck door, and the process should have been straightforward: Home Depot came out to measure, but then lost the measurements. They came out again to measure, only to lose them again.
When I learned they were running a 15% off sale, I tried to place the order in-store while the discount was still active. Unfortunately, the employees on duty didn’t know how to retrieve the order or process it correctly. I spent over 45 minutes in the store patiently waiting, only to leave without an order.
On the final day of the sale, I returned again and encountered the exact same issue- employees were simply not trained to handle the order. The associate apologized and promised that if I came back the next day, the manager would honor the 15% discount. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but the same problem repeated itself. Eventually, the manager got involved, sent someone out to measure yet again, and promised to “check with his manager” about honoring the 15% discount. I never heard back.
I followed up with another manager later via a phone call to the store, who simply told me that too much time had passed and they “probably” couldn’t honor the discount but would check back with me shortly . Since then, there’s been no follow-up, no call back, and no accountability.
Here’s the bottom line: • I, as the customer, did everything right. • Home Depot repeatedly lost measurements, wasted my time, and failed to train their staff. • Promises of honoring the sale and following up were never kept.
This department has shown a serious lack of training, integrity, and follow-through. If you need windows or doors, I highly recommend going to Lowe’s or another Home Depot location to avoid the unnecessary headaches.

Their products are wonderful and merchandised so well, it is easy to find what you need . In August we decided to change our entrance door to our home. On entering the store we were GREETED by Mike and Genesis who were so helpful, friendly and so knowledgeable. They were patient and extremely kind.
There were a few teething problems with the contactors who in my opinion tried to rip us off with adding additional expenses that were not necessary. This was the first time that we had problems with the contractors as when replacing our kitchen, carpets and other projects they ran much smoother. We had so many questions that could not be answered by the contactors, this is when Gregg stepped in and saved the day! He worked with us to answer all questions and concerns, made us feel very comfortable, he was patient, kind and of course knowledgeable, so easy to do business with, not to mention funny and oh so witty!. The only reason I am giving 5 stars is because of the great service and professionalism from Mike, Genesis and Gregg! Home Depot is the place to shop BUT...the contractors used by Home Depot for replacement entrance doors have a LOT to be desired. Please ask a lot of questions when the contractor comes out to measure, and make sure that you are not taken advantage of as they will place unnecessary tasks on your quote JUST to make more money out of you, my husband and I were very disappointed with the choice in contractors used.

Even though the customer is willing to pay for it first to be sent to the store closer to their home or to their home. Ben the manager in Harrisburg told us that. He called Lebanon they said they have two of the items we wanted. We drove to Lebanon 33 miles each way. Only to find out Ben had them set back the wrong item. When I called Ben he said he had them set back the item my husband showed him a picture of. I said NO my husband showed you the picture of what he wanted. He NEVER had a picture of the item you had them set back. He as much as called me a liar. Mr. Williams the manager at Lebanon gave us some money off of one item. Mr. Williams is super nice he apologized for the mix up caused by Ben.
