Sugarbaker's Classy Consignments — Local services in Lyndon

I was very excited about Sugarbakers. After I checked out I went back and got in line because they didn't give me 10% off my items even though they were marked with signs. One of the items they said didn't qualify for the 10% off because it was a "cardigan" not a jacket, even though it had a hood and a zipper. The other two items, a coat and a purse did qualify for the 10% off but the cashier didn't know how to do a return. She went and got either the owner or manager who then said I couldn't buy the purse (I had already bought it) She said "it's mine and we wouldn't sell it for that price anyway." They already had sold it to me for that price. Im not one to argue so I just asked to return everything. The initial cashier said they could give me cash since I paid with a venmo card. The owner/manager ignored that and put the money back on my Venmo card. Or at least I hope she did beause it's been over 7 hours and it's not even pending on my account yet. So I couldn't even leave and go looking elsewhere for a coat. Will not be back. Would...

I have been to this store a handful of times, it does seem to have a much larger selection of women's clothing but there is still a decent amount of men's clothing. I am baffled by the negative reviews here, everything was clean and the staff is always friendly. The prices are great for some nice quality clothing, it would be nice if there was more but it is a consignment shop so they can only sell what others offer up and I am ok with their more curated taste - otherwise it would be like a thrift store with lots of undesirable clothing that should've just been thrown out.

I do wish they were open just a bit later, but I usually buy something each time I go there as they regularly have discounts on top of the already fair prices. Would absolutely recommend this as a nice little shop...

Purchased several different items. However, one blouse had a price of $1.95 on it but after the lady at the register went into the back of the store to talk to someone else about the price, she came back to me with a $8.99 price. I bought the item at the higher price but I don't feel it was my fault the ticketed price was wrong and they should have sold the blouse at the ticketed price. That's the only problem I have had there. Basically, its a great location well organized and friendly people ready to help. Of course I will continue to visit Sugar Bakers...
