Hi I am using my mother's google account to post. I bought a washer and dryer set from Greves TV and Appliances several years ago and have been happy with it. I recently had the heater go out of my dryer, so I called Greves and they said that they would order the part. So a technician comes out to my house on 01/10/10, and checks the dryer over and begins to tell me what a horrible set my washer and dryer is and that no one that has bought the set has them anymore, and no one sells them anymore. He then hooks the dryer up to a gadget and said that it needs a new heater. Then proceeds to tell me that it would cost around $300.00 to fix it, and I would be better off buying a new dryer and could buy a new dryer for around $400.00. I did a bit of research and couldn't find a dryer that cheap unless I bought a used one, and if I'm going to do that I might as well keep the one that I have and get it serviced. Anyway... he said to let him know. So after discussing it with my mom, we decided to just get what we have serviced. So I texted the technician and called Greves and told them I wanted to get my dryer serviced. They said that they would order the part, which is what they said the first time I called but whatever. So I had to wait another week before actually getting my dryer fixed, which was 01/16/20. They technician came and fixed my dryer and it ended up being less than what he said it would be. Needless to say I wasn't too impressed with the technician at the first visit. I don't know if he is encouraged to promote consumers to buy a new appliance or if he just didn't want to service my dryer? But I know the owners of the store and they are great people. So simply because of the technician I am giving the...
Read moreA a few months ago we purchased a refrigerator from Greves TV & Appliances Home Center because we wanted to support local small business. At first, we were so pleased with the seamless delivery and no pressure sales experience, my husband wrote a great review about them. We now completely rescind that glowing review. The refrigerator they delivered was defective and we experienced immediate major frost build up in the freezer. The door wouldn't seal properly. We had to wait over 2 weeks before a service person could come and fix it. He ordered a new door for which we waited another 2.5 weeks to arrive. We scheduled another appointment for the new door (I had to rush home from work to meet the service guy in time ) and at last minute someone called from Greves to cancel for him because he was "having a bad day." We waited another week and half and finally the service guy showed. The replacement door they ordered was also defective. So they had to order ANOTHER DOOR. The wait continued. Another 3 weeks went by. Another scheduled appointment to get this door replaced and actually have a refrigerator that wasn't defective (we paid for a fridge that WORKS) . Last minute.....you guessed it- they CANCELLED AGAIN. This is by far, the worst customer service we've ever experienced. Again, we decided to go with a local business to lend our support, unfortunately that is not reciprocated on their end. They show no desire to prioritize and ensure customer satisfaction. We will NEVER ever again purchase anything from Greves and would not recommend it to anyone. Meanwhile, after a couple thousand dollars, the wait for a working refrigerator...

They are always professional, courteous, friendly, and accommodating. Support your local businesses! My wife came in first thing in the morning to buy a dryer. When I got home from work the new dryer was in place and running. She said that the 2 young men that delivered and installed the dryer were very friendly and professional. 5/15/25 Time for a new refrigerator. As always Greves took care of us. Buy local!
