Perhaps the rudest cashier staff I have ever seen in a retail store. They appear incredible disinterested in customers. I suspect this is a failure of store management as the cashiers are so obviously resentful of being bothered when you approach them that any manager would see this immediately if they paid attention. Dymitry in particular should be fired immediately. When I was there today he was outright rude and disrespectful when their card reader failed to read my chip on my credit card. This is a regular occurrence at this DIY store. In the past the cashier would take the card and enter the #. When I went to hand the card to Dymitry he looked at me and barked "What am I supposed to do with that". When I told him the card reader was still broken and he needed to enter the # manually he replied rudely "I'm not doing that! You enter it on the reader." I eventually saw that there is a button on the machine that you hit and can enter the card # manually. I own several retail stores and if any of my employees spoke to a customer in the manner Dymitry did (Mammoth Lakes DIY Home Center) that employee would be terminated on the spot. Sometimes you need to go to HCL for something more specific or certain grade, to note: HCL hours are more constrictive so plan accordingly. Over all the store is a great service, well kept, with good people. They can also do custom orders for you. They have tools, hardware, house hold goods for DIY projects, seasonal items, a key center, paint center, garden area.
