Sorry, I don’t even care what the pizza tastes like anymore. Called and ordered a pizza for takeout. Told it would be 20 minutes. Showed up 20 minutes later and paid for my pizza. Told it would be right out. It is now 54 minutes later and there is still no pizza. I know how to make pizza. I make it at home. I’m approaching the point at which I could have bought raw ingredients, made dough, let it rise, and baked my own pizza. A 14” pizza takes 15 minutes to bake, so clearly something has gone wrong. If the shop was bustling with a long line, I would understand (and likely go elsewhere), but in the 30 minutes I’ve been here I’ve seen the kitchen produce...2 pizzas.
ETA: after 30 minutes of waiting I approached the counter and told them I just wanted my money back. They then discovered that then had made my pizza, did not tell me (or call my name out to see if i was there - keep in mind there were only 2 employees, one of whom rung me up), and then placed my pizza in the “keep warm” box to get nice and soggy. I gave up and took the pizza, primarily because I was too hungry and tired to fight, but I had to take it home and put it in a 250* oven to crisp up the crust and warm it back up (which I should not have to do to a $21 pizza). Next time: frozen pizza from Vons. It has to be...
Read moreWe ordered the vegan version of their "Napoli" pizza. We were really looking forward to it since it had great reviews for their non-vegan version. What we received was a pizza that might have had the garlic sauce and possibly some vegan cheese on it and 11 pieces of tomatoes for 8 slices. No fresh basil. Very dry, sad looking pizza that I would have been very embarrassed to send out to a customer. We suggested returning this pizza and perhaps getting another pizza at 50%. We were told the Manager was out of town and no one there had the authority to approve. They could give us the Manager's cell phone # and we could call ourselves. What kind of business doesn't leave a DOA when a Manager is out of town? And seriously, the employee should have called the Manager vs handing out the Manager's cell phone # to strangers. Did end up keeping the pizza, such a hassle otherwise. Tried it and it definitely did not have much on the pizza dough other than the 11 pieces of tomatoes. Even if they had remembered the fresh basil, it would not have saved this "pizza". Long unsatisfactory review mainly because we were really looking forward to the pizza and the business practice is...
Read moreWhen we placed our order, the counter person told us 30 minutes. 1 hour 15 minutes later, I asked how much longer our order would take, and the counter person found our pizza in a box in the warmer. I asked how long it had been there and he said in a very snotty voice, "Since the cook called your name." We were literally the only people in the restaurant! Even if they called my friend's name who placed the order, it would have been simple to walk 10 feet to our table and let us know our pizza was done. I asked why he hadn't let us know, and he said because with 50 orders they can't keep track of each order. Again...we were the ONLY people there. They had orders going out for delivery, but nobody else there. Also, if he had simply apologized, all would have been forgiven. But to be rude to a customer because you "can't keep track of orders" is...
