During our recent visit to this steakhouse in Mammoth Mountain, my party of four encountered several disappointing issues that marred our dining experience. From the onset, the cryptic response we received upon calling to inquire about accommodation was our first red flag. Upon arrival, it became evident that we were not exactly welcomed, a sentiment that was palpably reinforced by the owner and manager's apparent disregard for our presence. This differential treatment was both uncomfortable and disheartening.
The quality of the food, particularly the steak, was another major letdown. The necessity to request A1 sauce at a steakhouse speaks volumes about the meal's quality, which fell short of expectations for a reputable establishment.
However, amidst these negatives, our server Karen was a beacon of excellence. Her professionalism, kindness, and dedication significantly improved our experience, making us feel valued and appreciated despite the overarching atmosphere.
I urge the management to consider this feedback seriously. It is crucial to treat all patrons equally, regardless of any perceived differences. The noticeable disparity in treatment between us and other guests was not only evident but also disappointing. Fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment, alongside ensuring high-quality culinary offerings, should be paramount. Such changes could transform experiences from disappointing to delightful, encouraging patrons to return.
While Karen's exceptional service provided a glimmer of hope, the overall experience was underwhelming. Regrettably, without significant improvements in customer service and food quality, I will not...
Read moreWhen I visited Mogul I ordered a fillet mignon steak medium rare and when it was brought to the table it was WAY over cooked so naturally I sent it back and the waitress was very nice about it when I explained how I wanted medium rare and took it back to re make it. The second time I was brought the steak it was WAY undercooked it was all purple meat and so again I called over the waitress and asked for her to cook it a little longer explaining AGAIN that I wanted it medium rare and when she had brought it back the third time my entire table was finished with their meals and the steak was still purple. At this point I was so hungry and tired I gave up and just decided to eat the purple steak. I usually don't mind pretty rare steaks but this one in particular was just horrible. Now I am just leaving after having to still pay full price for a steak I waited for way more then an hour for that was never even prepared correctly. I am extremely unsatisfied, I hope this issue can be fixed because I've had many good recommendations and I wish to hopefully return and have a...
Read moreMy partner and I had such an incredible dinner here last night that we both, without even discussing it, decided to come back again tonight. The service is truly exceptional. The gentleman who served us is the most friendly, attentive, and personable server I've ever meet. We were seated in a spot with a view of the open kitchen, where we could see the chefs preparing the various steaks and seafood. The kitchen was very clean. I can see the meat and ingredients were of pretty high quality. I ordered the New York steak, cooked medium, and the doneness was absolutely perfect. A note on the drinks: My partner had a Margarita last night, and I loved the flavor but I’m not big at alcohol. Today, I asked our server if they could make a virgin version. It arrived quickly and was exactly what I wanted. A few moments later, the server returned to check if the flavor was good for me. Overall, this was a perfect 10/10 experience across the board, from the impeccable service to the fantastic food. We will definitely be back whenever we...
