Natural Retreats- Mammoth Lakes (Formerly Mammoth Front Desk) — Local services in Mammoth Lakes

We discovered that a large rodent was in the townhome with us during our stay at Woodwinds 17 in Mammoth Lakes, CA. It consumed a large portion of our banana bread that had been wrapped in plastic on the counter. A "luxury" accommodation shouldn't include rodents crawling all over the countertop and tearing into your packaged food. Natural Retreats didn't return my call the evening we discovered the rodent, so we were left on our own to deal with it. Disgusted, we left after the first night.

Accommodations are uninhabitable if rodents are present, so we requested a full refund. Out of multiple phone calls made to their office and emails sent, we have received just one call back, which was the day after we left. That individual promised me that a manager would return my call to address our issue -- no one called me back.

Rodents aside, this was not a luxury experience in any way. The tv in the living room was quite old and out-dated with a distorted and low quality image, almost all of the window blinds were so old and abused that they didn't work, the kitchen faucet was completely loose from the sink and wobbled alarmingly, and the beds were not comfortable. Add management that doesn't return phone calls, and this was far from what they promote in...

The Village 1225 is a great unit and Natural Retreats was very pleasant to deal with. The unit was exactly as pictured, well-appointed, and had everything our family of 4 needed for a week in Mammoth. We love staying at The Village Lodge but this was by far the best unit we have rented there. The unit is at the end of the 2nd floor corridor in the Grand Sierra building so there will be a long walk from the lobby. The trade off is a beautiful and private unit with everything you will need for your stay. There is an exit (no re-entry though) close to the unit that allows you to quickly get to the Village Gondola when heading out. However, when your day is done, you will have to walk to the lobby to re-enter the Grand Sierra building and make the walk down the corridor. Tough in ski boots and certainly not a deal breaker, but worth knowing for future guests. Stay here with confidence! Natural Retreats...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Snowcreek condo in Mammoth Lakes where we had a week-long summer holiday for our large family. The golf course location was great for the golfers in the group and we enjoyed bike rides and walks along the creek.

The bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable and clean and the kitchen well-stocked. The decor was pleasing. Communication leading up to our arrival was good and the website/guest book was easy to navigate.

Our check out was on Saturday and on Thursday evening I opened up the departure instructions to prepare a work list and assign chores to my family. To my delight, the message was we don’t want you doing chores on vacation, so lock up as you leave. What a breath of fresh air that is and it means I will look for Natural Retreats properties for future...
