I came in with my child and I kept saying how nice it smelled in the store. The older woman behind the desk (owner I’m guessing) looked up and didn’t say “ hi, how’re you, welcome in”

My child had a lollipop and he was being good, I even explained to him in the store that the items are breakable and to be careful which my child was the whole time. The older woman said to my child “hey bud can you do a good job and not get your lollipop on any of the clothing or fabric materials. You think you can do that?”

I wouldn’t mind this but the fact is she could have given good customer service first. It’s as simple as saying hello 👋 or being greeted. But the person that came in after us was greeted right away.

I do not usually write reviews but thought it was important to provide an opposing view to the prior negative thoughts. If you are an emotionally intelligent individual this is the shop for you. If you understand dry wit and humor this is the shop for you. If you understand sarcasm this is the shop for you. On my recent retirement retreat to Manzanita my friends and I found this gem and spent a good half hour laughing with the owner. We had seen the reviews online and to be honest wanted to visit because of them. The owner of the jogging stroller failed to mention the size of the shop, small aisles packed with fragile goodies. Here is a hint for you - buy an umbrella stroller for shopping. The other omission was the size of the front porch area. It was not built for dog lounging. When did it become a store owners responsibility to cater to our pets? I found some unique Christmas gifts at the store. I plan to make this a "must stop" when I return...

As mentioned in another review, I too wish I could leave less than one star. The owner of this business doesn’t even deserve the star! She is one of the rudest, cold hearted individuals I’ve ever encountered! When one works in the customer service industry, they should exemplify just that...excellent customer service. The owner of this business should be employed with a correctional institute. If pictures are not allowed to be taken in the shop, it would be a wise idea to have that posted in clear view for all patrons to see. I took a photo of an item I thought my friend shopping at a store next door would have most likely purchased.
