For the past 18 months Jennifer Darnell at Ethan Allen Maple Grove has worked with us to transform our living room, dining room and home office into entirely new and wonderful living spaces. From the first time with Met Jennifer in the store, we were confident that we were working with a professional with impeccable taste who was incredibly responsive to our goals and step-by-step questions. Jennifer visited our home more than once. We were amazed by the way that she was able to capture a sense of our style from conversations and furniture/colors in our home. She presented us with design plans, color palates, and fabric samples that were inspired, and then, when we offered feedback, she graciously worked our ideas into the evolving plans. Jennifer provided a great combination of openness to our ideas and honest feedback when she didn't think a given idea would work, and that helped us really trust her in the many choices we made (including things like paint, tile, and window treatment decisions). Jennifer helped to incorporate items we already owned and liked into design plans with new pieces. She respected our budget along the way and helped us to make informed choices that made good use of our resources
Since we have redesigned and redecorated our living room and home office, we find ourselves using these spaces in new and fun ways. In important ways, Jennifer and Ethan Allen have helped us ENJOY parts of our home that we never really used in the past. We entertain more and people frequently comment about the choice of furnishings and colors.
We found Jennifer to be an excellent communicator -- fast a returning phone calls and e-mails, eager to work us in for in-store consultations, and happy to see us for the occasional stop by in the store. When we needed something quickly, Jennifer helped us to get it done. And when we felt stuck on a decision, Jennifer generously gave time -- including in-home consultations/visit -- which helped us to move to the next step. I could not imagine someone easier or more fun to work with. She comes with our highest regard and recommendation.
And Ethan Allen continues to offer great, handcrafted products, many of which are made in America and designed to last generations. It is easy to tell by the weight and heft of our new furniture that it is far different in quality and finish from the things available in most stores.
Thank you to Jennifer Darnell and Ethan Allen for a major redesign of our home! We look forward to new projects in...
Read moreMy experience with this store is very bad. Realized that the items that you buy from the floor is called custom orders and you cannot return it. If for any reason you change your mind they will say it is non returnable. After spending so much money it makes me sad that I just have to live with it for the rest of my life even if I don't like it. They should put NON RETURNABLE SIGN as almost everything in the store is custom and non returnable.
Again I think the designer and store manager decides the policies. Looks like they do not have standard corporate policies. Even if they have they can absolutely tweak it according to their wish and say it is non returnable.
Very expensive for the quality they provide and very bad customer service. No response for days.
Experienced issues with their card services.statements are wrong and doesn't include any details. Statement, Order forms and delivery forms do not match. Overall I feel like I was cheated.
Please do not buy from this store. There are lot of other stores around the area with great customer service and much cheaper prices.
Only thing I liked is their delivery service.Delivery team...
Read moreWe visited the show room and connected with an excellent designer. She came to our home and picked out two sofas and an excellent chair. The lead time for our new furniture was around 3 months which seemed to be in line with others at the time. We excited waited and the furniture arrived. The sofas were excellent but our roughly $2,500 leather chair had some small holes on the cushion. After roughly 2 months a repair person came out and attempted to fix the holes but the leather’s unique shine created challenges. After a 2 more months a new piece leather was shipped to our home but was folded in half creating a giant crease. After a month of waiting the repair person arrived again but shared he didn’t think he could fix the crease. The decision was made to send the chair with him to his shop. During this entire time we have waited for service from what was said to be “top notch service” and I paid for a chair almost a year ago which is not in my home. I am very disappointed as I continue to wait for the service that is supposed to come with the Ethan Allen brand. I would hope for more service to a customer that spent nearly $10,000...
