I do have to admit Sephora does have a beautiful store & a nice product selection. Except their customer service varies. Walking in here you never know if you’re going to have an enjoyable shopping experience or one that makes you want to spend your money elsewhere. For example my mothers birthday was recently & she had a coupon she wanted to use. When she arrived, she was looking in the Clinique section. There’s this box set she always stocks up on, but didn’t remember which one it was off the top of her head. (Attached is the picture of the set she got from a previous shopping trip, she prefers gel vs the lotion.) My mom asked if she could open the drawer to she if they had the one she wanted in back stock. She was told no & was ask you seriously don’t know what you use? My mom told her she was drawing a blank, it wasn’t the one on the shelf but if she saw it she could point it out. The lady basically told my mom that she didn’t wear Clinique so she didn’t know what she was talking about. After giving up & moving to another part of the store she ran into another employee who was actually very friendly. This person helped my mom find something to buy. However when my mom went to pay she was so excited to tell the cashier that she also had a coupon. The cashier just looked at my mom and told her she needed the credit card to use that one. Which is how she paid.
Reason for a 3 star rating: 1 star for the employee who was actually nice & helpful to an elderly customer, 1 star for the quality products Sephora sells & 1 star because this is still one of my mothers favorite stores.
Shopping tips:
-Do your research before going in, this will save you time trying to find someone willing to help you.
-Don’t shop here alone, you have a better chance of the employees being nice if there’s an audience.
-Don’t shop here with a coupon, they’ll assume you can’t afford to shop here & not want to help you.
-If you can wait for your purchase, skip the hassle & just shop online.
-Or if possible skip Sephora altogether & shop directly through the brand your...
Read moreWent in to use my gift card that I received from a friend on Oahu. The staff were helpful but not friendly for me. 2 employees asked specifically what I was looking for and what am I here for as if they were not going to be happy if i just wanted to look around first before I make a purchase decision. It didn't make me feel welcomed at all instead as if I was going to steal something. It was weird because there was only 1 other customer in the store who was getting their makeup done and not busy. Out of the 3 employees I came in contact with nobody said hi or hello or aloha or how are you. At first contact they just said, "what are you here for", "what are you looking for", and "ready to check out?" I remember the ladies used to be much friendlier...looks like my...
Read moreEverytime I’ve been here employees don’t help and they are never busy. We are usually the only people but still don’t care enough to greet us. My most recent visit will be my last. We went to the store after dinner (and double checked closing time) to find a sign saying they closed an hour earlier. We thought ok, we’ll try in the morning. Got there when they open and another sign saying they are opening an hour later that day. Huge inconvenience 2x in a row. We waited an hour, and when we got there no greeting or offer to help. I asked the manager about opening late and she was so rude in her response in that she was there but didn’t open because they have short staff. Do better Sephora, especially this location. Never shopping...
