I've been to this island vintage coffee in whalers village many times, in the summer/ winter and these guys simply just NEVER MISS A BEAT. I've never had a bad coffee. Never had bad service. Always quick and easy! I tried a açaí bowl from them for the first time and it was the biggest game changer!!! The ones who are leaving comments saying "it's the best they ever had", I'm here to tell you ITS THE BEST IVE EVER HAD!!! No lie!! I ordered the likiokai açaí bowl. I will never get another one besides the islands. The states don't even compare to the taste. Maui plant vintage coffee ...They know what they are doing, and they do it GREAT. EVERY-TIME!
I'm sure the place has its days. But I wouldn't rely on the bad comments. Give them a try or two. If you don't like what they gave ya, just kindly ask them to remake it. These guys work hard!
Anywho, I LOVE island vintage coffee and I would 110% rather support local than Starbucks. So thanks for being ontop of it and giving me good...
Read moreOk I was super torn writing this review. Firstly, the coffee is absolutely amazing. I love all of their specialty drinks, the Mauna Kea was my go to (has gelato in it). I got the açaí bowl too one morning and it was delicious. However, be prepared to wait a very long time. When it opened at 7am there were already 30+ people in line. They also only allow 5 people in the store at a time (totally fine with COVID restrictions). However, they do move very slowly when making your drinks and food. So the issue is, if 5 people order and are waiting for their drinks/food, no one else can go in and order. I feel like there should be a better process to make it go quicker, have the people who ordered and are just waiting for their items wait outside the store, then call the names so they can come in and grab. It would keep the line moving and not make your wait 40+ min. As a note, I did come in the late afternoon one day and was able to...
Read moreAlthough the coffee and bowls are very good, we have come to the point where we don't even want to bother coming to the shop. The lines are long and slowly managed, they're often out of everything we want after we waited for a long time, and the staff doesn't want to be bothered.
Last year, they made my son's drink so poorly I actually came back. They did replace it eventually, but we had to debate with them a bit.
Why not have the online ordering system work if you make us enter our own order on your screen in the store? Nevermind that the menu wasn't consistent with what the staff said was available...
For me, the cost and frustration outweigh the quality of the product. Last year, during our two week stay, we stopped coming due to a bad experience after the third day. The year prior, we came almost daily.
This year, I think we'll likely avoid this store for the most part solely due to a bad...
