Horrible HORRIBLE service! I didn’t even mind that much not being able to taste the flavors but wow the service is SCARY. I witnessed the employee basically argue with the two people in front of me over different things. She then gave my family and I attitude as well. Basically yelling at us because we weren’t standing right next to each other. If you don’t know what flavor you want in the second it’s your turn she will make a face at you. It’s unfortunate this is the only gelato place in the plaza but with the service here I would recommend Haagen-Dazs instead. This place makes you feel bullied for wanting to get some gelato. Wanted a nice gelato treat, but gelato had a strange (not good) after taste that killed it for me and my wife. Ultimately regretted spending money here. No samples allowed, which would've saved a lot of wasted gelato and my taste buds. I think it was a coconut based gelato?, which isn't bad in itself, but the after taste ruined it. I got the chocolate and mint chip. The chocolate was the only thing decent that didn't have as strong of an aftertaste, probably could have kept eating it but my appetite for gelato was already ruined. I’m so grateful that this place was within walking distance of our hotel!! I gave it a try on our third evening in Maui. I sampled a few flavors and the winners were clear - Grasshopper (Chocolate mint gelato with chocolate mint cookies) and Sandy Beach (peanut butter gelato with graham crackers). This gelato is SUPER creamy and soft, just the way I like it! They also have another location in Historic Lahaina. I visited there as well. All good decisions. I wish I could have just one more scoop of Grasshopper!! Why does it have to be so far away?!? Hopefully we’ll visit again someday and hopefully they’ll still have...
