I am glad they got my phone working again but I am annoyed about 2 things. First, the man at Tech Armor said there would be a $59 diagnostic fee. He said they would call before doing any other repairs. I received a call and they said, “We replaced your screen and the total is $239.” There was no call to confirm that I wanted to replace the screen. I would have liked to consider whether I wanted to replace the phone versus repair it. I did not say anything as I was happy to get the phone back. Second, after examining the phone when I got to the resort, I noticed several areas of dust in the cameras of the iPhone 11 Pro cameras which I was surprised to find (see picture). Yes, those specks are dust inside the lens as I was able to get them to move (see picture #2). They were not there before the repair. The phone was not assembled in a clean style environment. I have repaired iPhones and I would never have let this go as an acceptable repair. Dust should never be left in the camera and this should be checked before final assembly. I will say the screen and phone do function properly so I will give credit there for restoring the phone to fully functioning. I wanted to write this review so Tech Armor can improve with future service for other customers. Update: The owner reached out in reply to my review and apologized for the miscommunication on discussing the pricing with me prior to any repair. I do appreciate that and he did refund the $59 diagnostic fee (not requested by me). He did not mention the dust in the lens though. I did change my review to 4 stars. Update #2: Now we are seeing circles under the screen so I am downgrading my review to a 1 star. It looks like suction cup marks. I would not recommend them to repair your device. Update# 3: Wow the response by the owner is not professional at all. I don’t expect a new phone, but I do expect the cameras to be free of dust and to have a screen without blemishes since that is the area you repaired. Now you are just being rude. This review will stay and I’ll keep the screen repair I paid for even though it is subpar. I have screen shots of their response as I have no doubt they will change it soon. They are attached to this review. So, you didn’t use suction cups? So what else produces this shape. Also, the back cameras did have moisture in them, so how did you get that out without removing the back cover? Hmmm, not possible. You would have to remove the back cover to access that area and so yes, you could introduce dust into that area. I wouldn’t trust you with my wife’s phone again. You had my contact info and you could have reached out, but you didn’t. Unfortunately, it is too late now. Yes, I could have reached out too, but I already knew how it would go and that is shifting blame on me about how those circles were already on the screen, or dust was already in lens. Also, the phone was not submerged in the ocean, it was in a plastic bag with a go pro that had a foam handle damp with ocean water. I did explain this when I dropped off the phone. I would have loved a different outcome as it would have been better for everyone. Update #4 - I wrote an email to the owner explaining how this situation could have been handled better and got an aggressive response. “We're done discussing this with you and if you want to come down and discuss it face to face please come down- or call me directly” (screenshot attached) That sounds a little threatening, right? Would you want to go discuss this matter “face to face” with a business owner like this?

Picked up a USB cable in the Whaler Village, and the technician cleaned two years of lint and grime out of the charging port of my iPhone. Totally awesome and recommended.

The girl tried to sell unneeded repairs. I called and spoke a guy that told me they could replace my charging port on my phone. So when I was off work I called them ten minutes prior to showing up with my phone to be repaired. I left it with the girl she said she will have it done in about an hour. 15 minutes later she calls and tells me the speaker that you put to your ear is not working. I told I have been using the phone all day, called you 10 minutes ago and it was fin. She said sometimes things happen. I agree there can be things happen just a matter of timing. She said is probably just a bad wire or mother board. I said I not comfortable with this and she said she would call her tech guy. She called back and said come get your phone we don't want to repair it. When I arrived there was a security lady there with her. The repair/sales girl tried to hurry me off to get rid of me but I wanted to test my phone there in front of her. I called a friend and I could hear it ringing fine. I then handed the phone to her and she said there's no sound. I handed it to the security lady, she said she could hear it fine. I did this making several calls and she kept saying it was not working. But the security lady and myself kept saying it is working. On the last attempt where she said "that's a voicemail, maybe it only works when hearing voicemail" Come on!!!! I am not an idiot. At this point she was caught dead in a LIE, trying to pray on peoples need for there phones in a tourist shopping area of Maui by up selling repairs that are not needed. I left disgusted and my phone has been working non-stop for my business calls for two days now. YES, the speaker is still working!!! Stay away this girl is...

Stopped in Whalers village to go into some shops, and I usually browse kiosks that are typically open for the public to look at the products being sold. Looked at the jewelry stand in the same setup as the tech armor, saw a bracelet I liked, and walked by as I was planing on going to more stores. Upon leaving the mall, I passed by the kiosk again to look at the bracelet to decide if it was something I wanted to purchase. The lady was very friendly at the beginning, but when my mom and I thanked her and walked away after not deciding to make a purchase at this stand, the lady was completely hostile and said “are you serious??” And “why would you come back?” just because I didn’t decide to purchase the bracelet at that time. We were completely shocked of this behavior as it is completely unprofessional and unexpected as there were no issues with the interaction prior. No one trying to sell their merchandise should act like that and say those words to any customer just because they decided not to purchase. The attitude is completely...
