UFO Parasail on Ka'anapali Beach — Local services in Maui

My sail was canceled literally 10 minutes before it was due to start after driving 2 hours to Kona with my children who were all looking forward to their first parasail experience. We had a 9 a.m. sail scheduled so we all got up at 4 a.m. to ensure we were there on time. This was supposed to be our last activity before flying home and the end of the kids Spring Break vacation. They were hugely disappointed. They sent me a text message of the cancellation literally 10 minutes prior to our scheduled check in. They cited inclement weather although it was a really nice cloudy day. I do get that wind in the sea can impact parasailing but the last minute cancellation amd communication approach was poor. After receiving the text message I called them amd they assured me that they would be canceling all sails for the day and so my family hung out at the beach for the day amd literally one hour in we saw their boat heading out with a crew at 10 a.m. to sail so I called again because they had said if they decided to sail any that day they would vall me. So then at that point they claimed that although they took their passengers no one sailed due to inconsistent wind. It was weird because they originally told me if they cancel the early morning runs it is unlikely that they will do any other sails that day amd literally one hour after my canceled sail we were seeing them take someone else out on the water. So then I said ok what about the following day. We were willing to change our flights to late at night the next day so we could still parasail amd they said no it probably would be cancellations all day the next day as well. I didn't like the last minute cancellatipn via text and the whole communication approach I felt was unprofessional. Then their comment was well you will have to come back to Hawaii to sail. I didn't find it funny. We traveled all the way from Virginia to enjoy the week in Hawaii. And it was quite the expense as we had a family of 6 traveling to include 5 kids. Another comment made was oh well it's Hawaii weather. Again unprofessional. Not the time to joke. I felt bad for my kids as they were so hurt after the huge 4 a.m. sacrifice plus two hour drive for nothing but I will just take them parasailing elsewhere to make up for it. If I ever do come to Hawaii again we won't be choosing UFO Parasail...

Our first parasailing adventure with UFO Parasailing exceeded all expectations! As a nervous first-timer, I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Captain Andrew was absolutely amazing - his expertise showed in every smooth takeoff and landing right from the boat. His friendly demeanor immediately put us at ease. Micah was equally fantastic, taking the time to properly secure our harnesses, thoroughly explain safety procedures, and build our confidence before we went up. His enthusiasm was contagious!

We flew tandem (3) as a family - myself, my daughter, and my husband - creating memories we'll treasure forever. The views were breathtaking, and the experience was both thrilling and surprisingly peaceful once we were in the air.

A wonderful bonus: Micah captured photos of us soaring above the Pacific. These pictures are now cherished keepsakes of our first parasailing adventure together.

The entire crew made what could have been an intimidating experience feel safe, fun, and absolutely unforgettable. We're already planning our next trip back to Maui, and parasailing with UFO is definitely on the list again!

Starting with Toni; she took my reservation over the phone and was professional and extremely knowledgeable and helpful with everything. Once we arrived we were met by Micah onshore, who greeted us with a huge smile and some comedic humor. Onboard we met Casey she too was very welcoming, huge smile, and made some comedic commentary as well. Both Casey and Micah were extremely professional, knowledgeable, and made sure to make everyone onboard feel like we were just another part of the family and not just a “fare, or a dollar amount!” Finally, Francesca at the guest relations desk, once again, great big smile, answered all of our questions, and when I couldn’t figure out how to get our photos to download. I went in the next day and she not only downloaded them for me, but showed me how to do it. Didn’t rush me, and again made me feel like I was at home!!! If I could give a 6 star review I would.
