I purchased a New HP Envy laptop from the Best Buy in Morrow, GA. After purchasing I went online and saw the EXACT SAME laptop at the McDonough location, it was an Open Box purchase and over $100 less (I was excited!) I didn't mind that it was an Open Box laptop because I'd recently purchased 2 Lenovo's for my grandsons up north....they came without a box bit basically were brand new. Okay so I purchased it, drove to pick it up and return the one Is just purchased. Black Friday was 2 days away and I wanted someone else to be able to get the deal. When I returned mine unfortunately the stock room was busy and I was unable to get it that day. No worries I'll come back this weekend after Black Friday....there was no rush. Saturday I drive back to McDonough Best Buy and a sweet young lady named Brianna assisted me. She went to the bank and brought up my laptop, again there was no box (no problem), however when I looked closer I saw scratches all over it! She set it down and the cover was all SCRAPED UP with large Black marks, or was dirty outside & inside as of it'd been retrieved from dump (Real Talk!) The inside keyboard area was nasty with finger prints of food, no one had even bothered to CLEAN IT! When I tell you I was LIVID, my blood was boiling....I told her I'm not buying this Sh*t!!! I don't normally curse, I was so upset. (I Apologized) Please note I was calm and neve raised my voice, just voiced my disgust and disappointment. I honestly looked around to see if I was being PUNKED!!! The store had the right one for this, there was No way I was paying $758 for that CrapđĄ I calmed down (I was never rude to her. she understood my reaction and I knew it wasn't her fault). However the fact that management would sell that filthy laptop at that price truly upset me. I was unable to speak with the manager as she was unavailable. I just concluded it wasn't meant for me to have and I didn't need it right now as I did have another at home (just gifting myself a newer/nicer one) I went to the back computer section to see if they had anything else I might like and while checking the site on my phone, by my surprise it was available online again at the same price đ I went back up to Brianna and asked to take a picture of the Open Box laptop they tried to sell me to write this review and send to Corporate (pics attached and they don't clearly show how BAD that laptop was!) I told her how happy I was to locate my original purchase online!! As I was beginning to order it on my phone, she was confirming my return and refund of the nasty one....She said I'll take care of that for you Ms. Barbara, I'll just credit the new one with the return. Brianna took Great Care of me...you see God had other plans for me, not only did I get my Nice New HP Envy, I got it for the SAME Price as my return, Delivered to my door a few...
Read moreThe Geek Squad at this Best Buy is a joke. I brought in my laptop in over a week ago when it crashed and they talked me into purchasing a membership from them so it would get the full works without me having to pay as much for whatever needed to be done. Around the first 5 days in, they emailed me, saying it's "ready for pickup" when, in truth, they needed me to come in to have me login to my Microsoft account to get the Encryption key to access the laptop in the first place. But before that, they had me schedule an appointment to pick it up which had me wait a few more days just for a pick up. Not once did they contact me prior to the first call telling me that they had received it and the email days later lying that it was "ready" to ask me for my Microsoft account to get the encryption key the entire time I was waiting. Then I had to wait a couple more days for them to tell me that the laptop was too corrupted to save my data and asked if I wanted them to do a hard reset to get it back functioning again at least or they could send it to their factory to save my data, which would cost me an additional $1,500. After a few minutes of thinking about, I told them to go ahead and do the rest and they said give them 30 minutes to do so and run some tests on it before coming to pick it up. I gave them over 4 hours and not a single call back from them. When I eventually arrived there, they had someone else other than who was handling the laptop talk to me and they were not informed about the issues or current updates. Now, Mr. Newbie tells me that my hard drive was too corrupted to even do a factory reset and insisted that I get a new hard drive to replace it. Not once did they call me between the time I last spoke to the person handling it on the phone about the factory reset to when I arrived hours later to get it to tell me any of that. Having already spent almost $200 for terrible membership services and to basically tell me there was nothing they could do to save my laptop without charging me even more than what I had already spent, I refused their suggestion and left with my now-DEAD laptop. I would absolutely NOT recommend this particular Geek Squad or purchasing an annual Best Buy Membership from them for your repairs, as their service is shoddy regardless. I would give them zero stars, but I can only go as low as one. What I do recommend is finding somewhere else for computer repair. This particular Geek Squad is not worth your time or money, and their membership services are a complete ripoff....
Read moreWe purchased our Samsung range on Sept. 17th and it was delivered on Sept. 22nd as promised. The installation was a total nightmare. The first installer said that the hose from the old stove was too old and he was afraid to take it off. He said I needed to call our gas company. I called the gas company, the tech unhooked the hose in literally 2.5 seconds. I called to schedule another installation. The 2nd group came out and told us the hose did not fit and we need a hose that was 3/8. I questioned why they didnt have a hose since they knew that they were coming to...INSTALL. He said they didnt carry that size. We went back to Best Buy and received assistance from Shawn. Shawn was very professional and gave us options since he said that Best Buy no longer carried that size. He googled Home Depot and Lowes and said we could find the size. went to both stores and they did not have it. We found a local appliance store they carried the size we needed. My wife left work earlier so that we could prepare for the 3rd installers to come out. The 3rd installed arrived 17 days from the initial install...only to tell us that the 3/8 hose was not the right and that we needed a 1/2 inch hose. My wife went back to the local appliance store and got the 1/2 hose. Long story short that too was not the right size...the 3/8 hose had been the correct size the entire time, however the installers were not knowledgeable and very incompetent. Meanwhile, I was spending 60 plus dollars a day to feed my family of 6 because we were without a range. We called the escalation department and spoke with several people (Jason, Ziriah and Jessica) Jessica was a supervisor who basically told my wife that if we wanted the install to take place the we would need to get the hose ourselves. She also did not want to provide her supervisor's name but eventually did when asked how would she feel if she were in this situation. So today, Oct 15th, 23 days later, the installers came out and installed the over with the 3/8 size hose. After the installation, my wife and I left to run errands. Once we arrived home, the house reeked of gas. My wife opened the windows and I called our gas company. The tech came out and determined that we in fact had a gas leak and that the range had not been installed properly. Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed and angry with the extremely poor customer service. We will never purchase any more products from Best Buy...it's not...
