I haven't been to Olive Garden in over 15 years, and recently I was reminded why.
There were 6 of us, but we are all fairly easy to please, but this visit was just impossible to look at on the bright side. Our table ordered 3 Sweet Teas, 2 half/half, and one Diet Coke. We were all ready to order upon sitting as we were looking at the menu and making our choices during our 45-minute table wait. We ordered our meals with our choices of soups or salad, and more bread sticks (because they only brought out one basket that had 3 sticks in them).
Salad came out before our drinks, and without any salad bowls to eat the salad out of. The waitress said she forgot about our drinks and will bring them right out (along with the salad bowls). Drinks came out (incorrectly, and not tasting well) without the salad bowls. Reminding our server again we needed bowls.
A food runner came out (with the folding table) and placed the one bowl of food he had for our table, reminder - there were 6 of us. Also, none of our soups had come out yet.
About 8 minutes later our soups had come out, and the waitress said she is unsure of why only one of our meals had come out already. 2 minutes after that, the rest of our meals had come. And yet again, STILL NO SALAD BOWLS. It was about mid-way through our meal that the bowls had been delivered. Food orders came out incorrectly for 2 of us. I had to push mine aside because the broccoli in my pasta tasted bland and the pasta itself had no flavor. My boyfriend said I can share his meal with him. My 4th bite into his meal, I felt something fuzzy in my mouth. I pull it out and yes, it was A HAIR in his food.
I know it's not the waitress' fault for the hair, but if she were organized this experience could have gone an entirely different way. Also, it was as if the managers knew we were having a terrible experience because 2 of them had come over to check in with us (with jolly looks on their faces, maybe? couldn't tell with the masks on) but instead of addressing the problems by looking and the uneaten food at our table, she made a comment like "oh are we going to be having this for lunch tomorrow?". Heck no.
Again, we are easy people to please, but this was not a good experience around the table. We came here for a birthday dinner, and I felt terrible for whom we were celebrating. We all could not wait to leave (after waiting 25 minutes for bill-adjustments). We will not...
Read moreFood is great but the service is horrible! Today on Father’s Day’s we went in there around 3pm. It took our waitress at least 10 minutes to come to ask about drinks… it took about the same amount to get a cup of coffee, half and half ice tea and a glass of water ! Once the waitress came back to give us our drink I advices her there is somones Phone to please take it and she said she will ask incase someone just plugged it in at our table. We told her it don’t matter because we would not like to have a random person keep coming up to our table to check on there phone this is disturbing and she did the opposite. Manager came and was being a wise ass asking us several times if the phone was ringing and we said no but we do not like a person to keep coming up to our table to check on there phone and he kept repeating his same stupid question with no respect of our wishes. Finally after 20 minutes we got salad and soup and took another 10 minutes to get bread and this restaurant was not overly busy with a long waiting time for a table ! Had to complain to get our bread we wanted to eat with our soup and salad. It took a hour to get our food while others who came later then us were already eating there food and we still waited. Manager walks around and asking if everything is ok and when we told him no we have not even got our bread he walked off with attitude and so did the waitress when we told her the coffee she suppose made fresh was cold and his half and half sweet and unsweetened tea had lemonade in it. Never had a refill on my salad and never was asked and his soup came cool as well . Some waitresses have common sense and bring bread, salad and soup out right away. Wished ours for the third time coming there would gasp the concept. Then the small computer to pay at I made a review on suddenly said error and my review was not submitted and gotten no receipt from this computer but thankfully I checked my account were it took the $80 out. I rather driver further out for better service. We gave this place several times a try and nothing...
Read moreupdated 2/16/21- BIG shout out to Alexis for redeeming this locations reputation, from a 2 star to a 5 star. As you can see below, we have eatin here before but I wanted to post an update because this time it was a great experience. We were seated very quickly, the restaurant was clean, the service was great and the food quality was good as well. We will be back. Original post 2019 - My wife and I went there to grab a quick lunch, we were out of town and just wanted to get in and out. First, it took a while to get our drink order taken, by the time our waitress took our drink order we were ready to order our food also. We chose to get the lunch duo but upgrade to the unlimited soup AND salad for an additional price. The server brought us our drinks then a good while later our salad showed up. We were eating our salad and I realized she never took our soup order, I planned to ask our server when she returned but she never returned until our salad bowl and our drink glasses were empty. When she finally made her way back over to our table, I requested drink refills and mentioned she never took our soup order. She said that it only comes with soup OR salad and we chose salad, I stated that I thought with the upgrade you got the soup AND salad, she said no you can only get one or the other. I then asked if we could go ahead and get a refill on salad. Someone else stopped by and asked what we were drinking, before she could ever refill our drinks. She finally made it back with another salad, but shortly after that our food arrived. When our food arrived mine was incorrect, I had ordered the Italian Meatball Breadstick Sandwich with fries and received the Meatball Pizza bowl. I requested the correction and wish I wouldn't have, my sandwich was very small, the bread was hard and my wife had finished her meal. I chose to just eat my fries and the meatballs and get out of there. This was not the lunch we thought it would be. I hope this is Olive Garden's standard...
