This complex touts itself as a luxury complex, but it is anything but. You will see many 4&5 star reviews as I did before moving in (they ask you repeatedly to leave a review the moment you get your key) but I'd love to see how many tenants would still rate a 4 or 5 after they've been there for some time. Either that or the 5 stars are bots or employees. Nothing luxurious about:
-Poorly maintained grounds (patchy grass, weeds, overgrown bushes) When the lawn care crews do finally show up, they just blow dirt, trash and debris onto patios (my patio furniture was covered in dirt each time and decorative items broken) -Trash heaped around cans and on the ground -Pet feces and urine all over the grounds, even in elevators -"Dog park" is hilariously small and always has feces, the tenants they allow in don't pick up after themselves, then the apartment complex doesn't either. It just sits. -Car wash station cans always overflowing with trash or just not available. -Kids run up and down the indoor halls constantly all hours, they were on my patio, climbing the drain pipes, throwing trash everywhere - I suggested someone monitoring the grounds in the evenings.. nope. -Drugs allowed in public areas, including pool area, in front of children -Stopped taking my kids to the pool on the weekends - stop by on a weekend and see what's going on , I won't mention it all but suffice it to say, its not monitored nor family friendly -Pool overcrowding due to families/kids from other nearby complexes coming in and no one monitoring capacity -Police constantly at the complex with sirens on for who knows what...staff wouldn't share but we didn't feel safe. There were a couple of SWAT raids while were there. -Security gates not working too often to feel safe -Missing packages from the ridiculous mail delivery set up - one big locker with everyone's packages thrown in haphazardly that any tenant can take -Many more people than allowed living in each unit -Gas tanks for the grills (an amenity they are so proud of) are always empty or missing. They said they don't fill them because tenants steal them. I suggested locking up the tank cabinets or the tanks themselves, but nope.
Sound luxurious?
After voicing my concerns about much of this, nothing changed. I did advise staff that I felt unsafe here with my kids. I saw no changes. I found a house on the other side of town and moved. I would suggest that anyone with kids do the same. Even if you don't have kids and seeking a luxury complex, keep looking.
Edit to leasing office response: nothing to be bewildered about really. I kept meaning to write a review to warn others.. I forgot until someone I know says she lives there now, and it's terrible still, nothing has changed, and she's upset about not being able to get out of her lease. I'm here 2 years later to save others the same trouble - it's not luxury, it's not a place for families, you can rent a nice house for less, and in a safer area.
Office: I saved the emails I sent to you. None of this is a...
Read moreHORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Save yourself the time and do not apply. Security (or lack thereof) On my second visit, I brought my family to take measurements. We walked out onto the balcony and a CAR WAS SITTING ON BLOCKS. The tires and rims were stolen. Also, we heard it was quite common for people's car windows to be broken and things stolen from their cars. So do not let the gate fool you. It doesn't stop crime, it just provides a safe place for them to commit crimes.
Application process (if you call it that) They have just switched to a new system called Two Dots to process new applicants. I turned in all the documentation they requested for me to turn in along with a 200 application fee and 75 administrative fee. Once I submitted all of my information they told me that I had to be approved within 3 days or I would automatically be denied with no refund. The following 72 hours were horrible. I received phone calls, voicemails, and emails at all hours including 12:20 AM from Two Dots, Canyon Springs, and BH (the owner of Canyon Springs). One would say I needed more information and immediately after the other would say I was approved. This went back and forth for 72 hours with no one knowing what the other two were doing. A representative from BH reached out in the last few hours of my application window and told me I should “make it a priority.” This was funny because I submitted everything requested of me immediately and worked tirelessly for three days to resubmit everything they lost. The 72 hours expired with some of the three saying I was approved and others confused about whether I was approved or not. The managers apologized and said it was their fault but would not refund my money. I applied with good faith that the application would be reviewed and processed. So I got harassed and they got 275 dollars. A pretty good deal for them. I applied to a similar apartment and was approved within 12 hours. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.
If this is still up, then my 275 dollars has not...
Read moreI would say it was a pleasure living here but I would be lying. First thing these are very beautiful apartments but MANAGEMENT IS TERRIBLE ANY ISSUES I HAD I WAS GIVEN EXCUSES FOR NOISE COMPLAINT. I addressed my concerns to the property mgr about courtesy taking majority of parking not allowing other tenants to park close to their units. I even had a conversation with officer and he was very rude about the situation. Although I addressed my concerns to property mgr nothing was rectified. I was told excuses basically. It seems as if my concerns didn’t matter at all and that really concerns me. MY WHOLE LIVELIHOOD WAS TAKEN AWAY FROM ME. I was suspended from my job without pay. The leasing office was aware of everything that happened with myself and tenant above me and failed to do anything even though I was the victim. THE TENANT HAD CREATED A HOSTILE LIVING ENVIRONMENT. I WAS NO LONGER COMFORTABLE LIVING THERE. I Requested to transfer to another unit, but I was told by the assistant manager that I had to give a 30 day notice and I had to pay a $500 transfer fee even though they knew what was going on between myself and above tenant. The above tenant had me arrested twice, and even though the leasing office knew everything they still didn’t do anything about it. I was able to get out of my lease without any extra fees, etc. but word of advice future residence do not rent out unit 1114 because you will barely get any sleep. Also, if you have any concerns or issues do not go to management because they will not do anything about it. The management team basically neglected my whole issue that was going on the entire time. I am glad that I was able to move and now I am happier and finally,...
