First Off, I’d like to say I love that more Asian food is coming to Henry County and Hungry Station has plenty of potential if they fix the negatives I am going to be using Kura Revolving sushi as a base here cause my wife and I will travel to Doraville just for Kura from time to time. Kura is definitely not the best sushi on the planet, but for what it is, it is good and gives you the revolving sushi experience with plenty of flavor in their food. Now back to Hungry Station Pros: - Great atmosphere - Clean - Large Space - Great Staff - Love the way they deliver the food ordered off the tablet, they use little cars that drive above the sushi conveyer belt. Cons: Mainly a lack of falvor in all of their food - Sushi selection is weak, saw the same 5 or 6 rolls on the conveyer belt - Sushi rice is bland, literally no flavor - Actual fish was also bland and had no flavor at all - I had one salmon nigiri that had texture as if someone chewed on it and threw it on some rice - Salmon skin salad was not crunchy as it should be, lacked flavor, throw some more sauce on it and fry the skin longer. - Bao buns were underwhelming, the sauce on it just tasted like some American aioli sauce thrown together to make it taste like an Asian sauce. - The only thing I actually enjoyed was the ramen, it wasn’t too bad for what I was expecting, but I don’t know if the ramen is good enough to make me come back and visit Again, I want hungry station to survive, I think it has great potential if they make it more authentic and stop Americanizing the Asian food experience by putting a hard brake on flavor. For now, I will stay away from Hungry Station to allow them to find out what they want to be and will continue to travel to Doraville to eat at Kura Revolving Sushi if I am in the mood for some revolving sushi. I wish Hungry Station nothing but success and hope they fix their bland food cause we need more diversity with new foods opening, Henry county is constantly building and all we are getting is Starbucks, chicfila, chipotle, 5 guys and other major chains that occupy 4 or 5 locations from Jodeco to Hwy 20.

Love 3 concepts of this place. Basically, choosing the Mongolian plate allows you to create your own stir fry. You choose the side, protein, seasonings, vegetables, and sauce. They also have a sushi conveyor belt. Sitting at this table, you make your selection as it passes by...very cute. I had a stir fry of white fish, scallops and muscles in the sechuan sauce mixed with fresh garlic and ground pepper oil, and chose garlic and ginger powder for the season...very customizable. But don't worry if you have no idea or desire to play chef they have regular entree selections typical of Asian Japanese fusion. The flavor of the food is fine. However I didn't enjoy the cook on certain things, the tempura veggies were too soft and not enough batter, some of the vegetables were over cooked in the stir fry, probably due to the small dice, and the brown rice extremely aldente. The scallops are extremely petite...a size that probably doesn't exist in nature...probably processed but the flavor was fine. I recommend the menu provide a description of the sauce selections. I asked to taste test a sauce prior to my selection and was allowed. There was an issue with my sauce preparation, and the manager handled it with perfection . Lastly, after placing your order with the waiter a robot brings your selection to the table. Whew...I typed a lot. Overall, the prices are reasonable, and so are the portion sizes.I would prefer to see the receipt prior to paying. The waiter comes to the table with a tablet. I recommend checking this place out. Considering McDonough's mediocre selection of Asian food, it's definitely worth a try.

When we walked in, there was no one up front to greet us and we weren’t sure if we were to pick a table or wait. I spotted an iPad on a stand where I signed in. After a few minutes a lady arrived and asked us if we would like a regular table or one near the sushi bar. We assumed she was an employee because we wouldn’t have known by the way she was so casually dressed in a wrinkled tshirt and pants. We decided to sit near the revolving sushi bar. We were informed that the sushi was $3.15 per plate and if we partook, we were NOT to put the dirty saucer back on the sushi bar. They must have an issue with that because she was quite adamant about it. When our waitress arrived, we were again surprised by her wrinkled, quite dirty looking appearance. She literally looked like she had just gotten out of bed. On the table was one tablet. That’s your menu. There were three of us, so only one person could look at the menu at a time. You’re supposed to use the tablet to place your own order. The waitress also had a tablet, suspended by a strap around her neck. We had some questions, which she answered. My husband wanted wings, but likes them well done, so the waitress had to put the order in herself, on her tablet. I placed my order for a lobster dish and our friend also ordered wings. My husband’s wings were out in five minutes, delivered by a “robot car”. The wings were definitely not well done. Our friend’s wings came out soon after. We informed the waitress that my husband’s wings were not well done. She left for a couple minutes and came back. She informed us that the manager said she would cook my husband five more wings for free. My order finally came about 20 minutes after my husband’s wings arrived. The lobster was terrible. I could hardly chew it. I will say that the teriyaki sauce they use is quite good. Also, the edamame our friend ordered was very good. That was supposed to be an appetizer but came after we all received our food. When it was time to pay, our friend was using a card. The waitress ran the card on her tablet, then removed her tablet, which had been hanging in her ARMPIT area so he could sign it. They need to do better. No one wants to touch a tablet that has been against someone else’s body. The entire restaurant was so dirty. The unoccupied tables were GREASY looking and gross. The tablet on our table was also quite disgusting.

We definitely won’t be back. The sushi on the revolving belt looked like it had been there for a long time. Quite a few of the covers had fallen off. The sushi belt is not refrigerated. We are afraid someone is going to get very sick eating at this place. It won’t be us, because we...

If you could do half stars, I’d say it was a 3.5 out of five. Our service was great she was nice and helpful for what she could help with, sometimes I don’t think the call button on the tablet really actually calls the waitress but she eventually came over and she was very nice. The food wasn’t that great to us, and not a bunch of healthy options at all unless you just eat sushi, one plus is the soy sauce on the table is Gluten Free. But not what they cook with so no other gluten free options really. The only thing healthy would be the plain sushi and alot of the sushi had a lot of sauce… And the ones that did not have sauce didn’t taste as fresh as normal when I eat sushi, avocado was brown in a couple of them, so kind of didn’t give me the best impression on the sushi food. The belt rotating thing is cool to watch… our table had the curry pork with rice and just a handful of lettuce.the tempura chicken was not that good of flavor, the curry sauce was like a brown gravy on the side not too good, the vegetable option wasn’t really that good. The fried pork was good taste my son said we also tried the temp fried chicken and it was OK. Honestly, my daughter only had a bite or two. It wasn’t her favorite meal. the chili sweet wings were actually pretty good if you go with Wings…dumplings were not too write home about, And the hs fried rice it was OK my parents said… but one thing they don’t do sides of fried rice as an option for you as food not even of the flavors, like if you want a side of kimchi fried rice and pay half the price and get half the kimchi fried rice they don’t do that which is kind of annoying because the way that their menu goes sometimes to make a meal it would be nice to be able to get half portions of the fried rice flavors, they offer the fried meats separate and just rice. For our FIRST time going, it was pretty cute and it was fun having the robot bring out your meal and also the wings and things coming on the train was cute it stops at your table, hopefully a tall person sits there to remove it 🤣. It was interesting. It was fun. But side note the bathrooms they weren’t very clean when we went. Mirror was cleaned in a circle only in the middle… no paper towels and door you have to grab the handle…. We went on a Sunday afternoon at 3:30 and they were not very clean in the bathrooms and that’s a thing for me. Also the soy sauce that you pour from in the table was not clean at all, not sure when it was last cleaned, it had old soy sauce all over it and dried crystallized soy sauce and I just notice cleanliness and it wasn’t that clean to me. But it was fun to experience once. 😊 probably won’t go...
