pOpshelf — Local services in McDonough

Customer service Non-Existent! It’s New Year’s Eve and my sister & I are out and about. Enjoying our day, we decide to go into Pop Shelf before having lunch. Upon walking in there’s a young lady standing at the counter, black girl with ultra long braids and a scarf tied around her head. We’re talking and laughing as we walk in, the young lady was texting or doing something on her phone. She completely ignored us so I spoke anyway and started my shopping experience. I love this store, at this particular location. Prior to this visit each experience had been Superb. 😉 We shopped about 30 mins before going to check out. The girl, with a very irritated disposition, walked away from the counter. I started scanning my items, and my last rang an incorrect price. I looked around and noticed the same girl standing between the isles behind us, but she ignored me when I said ‘excuse me’. She didn’t want to be bothered, but ‘This is your job’. I walked over to her, she was looking at her phone when I asked for her assistance. She wanted to know what I needed before she would even walk towards the register. Apparently, customer service is NOT a part of the employment here. I’m trying to purchase my items so I let her know that my items rang up wrong. She went to the counter and advised me the price was correct and I told her it wasn’t. She said show her where I got my price, so I did. Actually took her to where I got the item, and it bothered her that I was correct. She went back to my register, slammed my item on the counter and entered the correction into the register. She hit the keys as hard as she could and walked away. What’s wrong with this picture? I expected her to work At Work! These young people are so damned entitled and lazy, expecting a check for rudeness. The companies are even worse for allowing it. I’ll find another location, hopefully my patronage will be appreciated there. Not likely if they’re all like this young no-lady....

I love Popshelf. The location in McDonough Ga smell so good inside. The uplifting scent makes my shopping enjoyable with great vibes. I shop at Popshelf at least once or twice a month there. Over the summer I bought so many REASONABLE priced items for my beach vacation.

The sales associates are so kind and always willing to assist me if I need to look for something. I love the self check out... the sales associates also ask if I need assistance at checkout.

Everything is so organized and upscale. I am sorry but Popshelf is nothing compared to Dollar General and Dollar Tree and Five and Below. Popshelf items are great quality items upscale decor plus healthy snacks and healthy drinks. Popshelf is in a different category on its own. Literally, Popshelf have that feeling that makes you want to stay...I don't get those vibes with...

This place is a hidden gem. It's a combination of the Dollar tree, five below, Michael's, and Walmart. The prices are awesome and you can find so many things you need around the house, things to clean with, makeup, snacks and more than you expect.

The first time I went into the store I was shocked at the prices. I love the way it smells there I know that's weird but I do it just smells fresh and it really came in handy for Christmas.

The staff is warm and friendly and they always smile, there's even a very sweet little person there she's spectacular she knows everything about the store. She's a star in my opinion say hi to her the next time...
