Red Lobster — Restaurant in Georgia

Is it possible to give negative stars?? After having multiple bad experiences at the Conyers location, we decided to go to the McDonough location instead hoping for better luck. We definitely struck out. We ate here tonight and it was all around a bad experience. We should have taken the hint when we first walked in. There were 3 employees at the hostess stand, yet it took almost 3 minutes of standing there before we were even acknowledged. The wait was only about 15 minutes as we were early for the dinner rush. When we were seated for about 5 minutes, the waitress stopped by and said she would be right back. I just got a new stopwatch app on my phone and I was playing with it, so I timed a bunch of our encounter. It was 7 minutes before she returned, during which time she took the drink order and delivered the drinks to the table next to us. She took our drink order (tea and a mixed drink from the bar). The tea arrived after 4 minutes, but it took 12 minutes to get the drink from the bar. We kept trying to get the waitresses attention, but she was actively ignoring us while taking excellent care of the family next to us. Finally I started to get up to go get some help and she came by and took our order (for those playing the home game we had already been in our booth for almost 30 minutes). She then stopped to help the table next to us, talk with them, refill their drinks, etc, before putting our order in. We had to ask multiple times for biscuits, and to get our soup brought out. The manager brought out the soup, with a dirty spoon. Then I had to wait 5 minutes while my soup got cold to get a clean one. Didn't matter because the bisque was so salty I could barely eat it, and didn't finish it. Then the food finally came 23 minutes after we ordered. If this is the level that Red Lobster has dropped to the world really is getting bad. I ordered the create your own meal with shrimp scampi and the fried whitefish. The "whitefish" looked like freezer fish sticks. You remember the ones you used to get in elementary school at lunch? Those. Almost all breading, barely any fish, and absolutely no taste. Took one bite and spit it back out. The scampi was good, and when we got biscuits they tasted fine. The fries were cold, and when I told the waitress they were cold, she said it was because the AC was on and walked off to help the table next to us. No offer of fresh fries, no apology, nothing. And I had to once again ask for a tea refill, but that took 13 minutes. When she brought it in a new glass, that glass was dirty. I would have told her, but we never got her attention again. She spent all her time on the table (5-6 people) next to us who had a birthday. She ignored us, even when I tried to wave her over multiple times. They have the option to pay at your table on the little tablets, so we paid and left. We will never be back. That was the last straw for us. If you have an option of eating here or getting a fish sandwich at Burger King, go for Burger King. The food will be better and so will...

Horrible! 12-27-24 Samone waitress/Bartender female was awful,rude and called herself being slick waited on our table. Within 5-7 minutes of being seated in her section we requested a manager to report her. She said she would get the Manager but never did. People came after us and were served ,ate and left, and we never received food nor did the Manager ever speak with us while we were at our table. I did place a call to the Corporate Office while I was still sitting in the restaurant. Finally, we decided to leave but not until I got up and went to get the Manager myself. The Manager stated in the presence of Samone that he was never told we wanted to speak to him. I also stated in the presence of Samone that I had requested his presence within less than 10 minutes of being seated. Samone had nothing to say. The Manager, Jermaine was very nice and apologized. Samone should not have come to work with that attitude. Life will teach her how to treat people because we all reap what we sow.

1-1-25: The details regarding location are noted in my initial complaint as well as the red lobster response. Some details were given in the initial complaint but to further explain: Simone was snappy, and had a very rude tone when she was asked a question regarding the menu choices by my Mother. Simone rudly tapped on the menu and stated in an unprofessional tone that " this is this and that is that" at which point we requested a manager and according to the he manager as previously stated, he was NEVER notified by Simone that he was requested by our table. Simone proceeded to bring out the table next to ours their food before ours and we were there approximately 20 minutes prior to them being seated next to us. Our order was nothing but simple fried and scampi shrimp and salads with baked potatoes. She then intentionally bought their food to us and sat in down for us to eat prior to our telling her this wasn't our order. The food delivery came approximately 40 minutes after we sat down however, it wasn't our order. We never received our order. At that point I got up to go get the Manager myself. Again, the Manager stated in Simone's presence that he was NEVER NOTIFIED of the request to converse with him concerning the poor customer service. We went here for take out for my husband's birthday

I wish I knew the name of the lady that took our order, because she attended to every detail!

Everything I requested was in the bag and her recommendations were so on point!

We had 2 surf and turfs. Mine with filet mignon so tender and perfectly cooked to a medium rare, that instead of using a knife and fork, I just tore off pieces and dipped it in ranch and ate it like that.

It was heavenly!! Melted in my mouth like butter!!

His was the 10 oz strip steak which i watched him savor! And he's not a foodie like me, but he thoroughly enjoyed it!

The lobster was sweet and tender and not dry like other red lobsters we've been to in the past. I didn't even need the drawn butter. It was good au natural

The coconut shrimp appetizer was perfectly crispy and tender and tasteful with the pineapple dipping sauce; not rubbery like other red lobsters, and my salad was perfect!

The loaded mashed potatoes were a meal in itself with 2 biscuits. That was my breakfast the next morning

My daughter's had popcorn shrimp, shrimp scampi, and lobster tail.

They left no leftovers.

Which never happens!!

It was that good!!

And those brussel sprouts?!? OMG!!

Amazing!!

I will skip any other red lobster to come back to this one!

Whoever the take out lady was that night, I wish I knew her name; she deserves a raise and a promotion!

Check the receipts so you can give her, her due diligence

I tipped her $40 on a $160 dollar meal.

And it was take out!

I usually only tip servers that high, but this young lady was so real and made me feel special and appreciated!

We enjoyed every part of our meal, and we spent over $200 that night, with no regrets, because everything was perfect!!
