2 Daith piercings for migraines!!! I am so happy I found Mariel!!! I have been getting migraines for the past three years after being rear ended in a car accident. I had done the research and daith piercings had a 50/50 chance of working to help with migraine relief. Mariel warned me that it would take 8-10 months of complete healing and keeping it clean was important. My first piercing was done on my left ear in January 2019. She charged $35 for the actual piercing and then the cost of earring. Mariel helped me pick between a few different pieces by letting me hold them up to my ear to see how it looked. I chose a $200 half moon shape with a small diamond. Mariel talked me through it because I have never pierced my ears before or any body part for that matter! She warned that it would be painful. It feels like she hit a nerve, which is supposed to happen, hot lightening flash of pain and it was over. I had to take a couple of ibuprofen for swelling and pain. My ear bled for a minute before it stopped. I kept it clean by using piercing saline in the morning and warm water at night. My ear would sting in the warm water but it was my preferred method. While healing, the fluid will form a crust around the piercing site and the warm water dissolves the crust and rinses it away. Fingers are usually dirty and Mariel told me to try and not touch it. At night, I did lay on my left side on the pillow. It was not unbearable to me and it caught a few times, like, when I would slide my head against the pillow, but it would sting for a minute and then go away. I took maybe a total of 6 ibuprofen tablets in the first 6 weeks. By the beginning of March of 2019, I was ready to get my right ear pierced. Mariel does not recommend this but scheduled me right before my birthday April 1. The second piercing went the same as the first. Same hot flash of lightening for split second and it was over. I chose a more expensive piece this time with three small jewels, which makes it heavier than the moon earring. I can feel the earring sliding in my ear. I have to fix it all the time. I would have chosen a less heavy piece, if I could go back. I am writing this review in August but stopped having any pain whatsoever in June and have not had any problems with either piercing, or migraines, for that matter!! Mariel is wonderful!!! Hidden Treasure! We had such a beautiful experience! A very special thank you to Matt Holmes for taking such great care of my little girl as I let her go and watch her grow! I'm glad my daughter got her septum pierced here. You only get one first time, and this was phenomenal. I walked in with motherly skepticism and hesitation but was immediately put to ease. Warm welcoming office space was clean and well lit. Compassionate, knowledgeable staff that seem to go above and beyond like it's second nature. You can tell they really love what they do. Matt was professional, fun, and easy to talk to. He took time to answer every single question we had. I like his communication style. He got her full attention, ensuring she was well versed in healing and care essentials. He explained things as he went and put her in charge of her face and the pace. This was very different from my own experiences. I am so blessed my daughter included me in this, I had so much fun, and we both learned a lot. Once upon a time, I was 13. I got most of my piercings at slumber parties with ice, apples, and the sharpest safety pin we could find. It's not exactly ideal. I'm so grateful she's open to sharing this part of her growing up with me.

I was looking at their BVLA jewelry on their online shop (amazing selection btw) and found exactly what I was looking for, except it wasn't in the gauge I wanted.
