Amici Barber Shop — Local services in Miami Beach

I found this place on google, I went in without appointment and waited like 30 minutes in order my nephew to get a haircut. The gentleman who took us did not speak a word in English although I told him I don't speak Spanish he kept asking me in Spanish what kind of haircut I wanted for my nephew. I showed him a close picture from Google but he kept saying I don't know how to that eventhough it was a simple haircut. I turned around and asked all the barbers who can cut my nephew's hair especially he has a curly and both the gentleman answered with a NO, I was in shock the fact that they are professionals, but refused to cut a kid hair, how hard was that. As I was leaving furious and mad not expecting the king of service, one of the gentleman called me to go back and he pointed to this guy his name Felipe and told me he will do it. Felipe was friendly and helpful and the minute I showed and explained to him what look I wanted for my nephew, he completely understood although there was a language barrier. Felipe took his materials and he gave one of the best haircut to my nephew, such a talented barber and he completely changed my experience from worst...

It probably depends on who you go to. I believe Alvarado helped me....an older guy that messed up my hair big time. I'm considering shaving me head- it's that bad! I asked for a side fade w/ about a .5 off the top and the barber basically gave me a Mohawk. Another reviewer had a similar experience. I should have known as he guy before me had his hair cut in a similar way. What sucks is there's NO FADE- it's like the same length on the sides to where my hair would have parted. 2nd is he shaved both sides of my head so high it's awkward to Combe and resembles a Mohawk. Good thing I'm on vacation cause now I can drink to forget about how bad it looks! Save yourself the headache and avoid...

Used to go to the Classic Way for the last 2.5 years - but now they have an "Appointments Required" policy. Walked in & despite the barbers not having any customers & playing on their phones - they said sorry no appointment no service & showed me the door - right to the wonderful Amici. The owner was very welcoming & said appointments appreciated but not required, kindly asked me to wait 5 min & 30 seconds later - just as I sat down - the wonderful Jose invited me to his chair. Had THE BEST HAIRCUT in 2.5 years. Way better than any at the Classic & cheaper too! JOSE IS AN ARTIST. Please bypass the Classic & go straight up to Amici! You will not be...
