Em Nail Salon Miami Beach — Local services in Miami Beach

EM Nail Salon has been on a downward decline for a long time, but until yesterday’s experience, I was willing to let it slide because this is certainly the most convenient nail salon for where I live. But the way my friend and I were treated yesterday was the last straw.

We had appointments for pedicures at 11:45am, which were made and confirmed online (since no one at this place has answered the phone for months). Upon timely arrival, we were immediately met with attitude from the staff, who essentially told us that our confirmed appointments didn't matter. After 5 minutes of waiting, we were told they were "running 10 minutes late" and invited to come back in the afternoon. At that point, the staff became rude and aggressive towards us, blaming us and the salon owner for confirming our appointments at the time allotted, and saying “they don’t control how the scheduling is done.” Being on the receiving end of such unwarranted attitude and aggression was the last straw. And to add insult to injury, I received an email cancellation that my 12pm appointment with “Karen” was cancelled shortly after we left (not only was this the incorrect time for my appointment, but it was also seeming effort to further aggrieve the situation to change the tech’s name to “Karen” when submitting the cancellation (in the system they claim not to control)).

I’d been a loyal customer of EM Nail Salon since they opened over a decade ago. It’s such a shame to see a quality small, local business be run into the ground. I highly doubt I will...

Went to this place for a mani pedi - I chose the L.O.L service - one of my toes ended up bleeding from the nail tech cutting deep into the cuticle - I thought it was a mistake - anyway.. I was told that my pedi was done, however I didn’t get the hot paraffin treatment which is included in my LOL service - so I told the lady and she said that the paraffin isn’t ready so I solved the issue by saying nevermind I’ll just downgrade to the em nails service which is cheaper - i also didn’t get the hot towel wrap which is supposed to be included too. We moved into the mani and I ended up with two fingers bleeding - one of them actually bad from digging so deep into my cuticle which never happens to me at other salons - and then later the lady brings in the hot paraffin for my hands so I told her no I wanted that for my feet it’s too late now. I recently visited this salon for a mani-pedi and opted for the L.O.L service. Unfortunately, the experience was a disaster. One of my toes bled because the nail technician cut too deeply into the cuticle. I initially thought it was an accident, but the service only worsened. Despite the L.O.L service including a hot paraffin treatment, I was informed it wasn’t ready, so I downgraded to the cheaper Em Nails service, which was still subpar since I didn’t receive the hot towel wrap included in that package.

During the manicure, two of my fingers ended up bleeding from the technician's harsh treatment. One cut was particularly severe. To make matters worse, the hot paraffin treatment for my hands was offered later, even though I had wanted it for my feet.

The entire experience was disappointing and a waste of money. The nail technician was clearly incompetent and didn’t understand the differences between service packages. The owner of this salon is responsible for such poor service. Save your money and...
