The place is a new neighborhood, quaint, inviting place. Looking at the new reviews I was excited to try it out overall not bad the food was very good but in my opinion, the portions are tiny. Just look at some of the pictures that other reviewers left the octopus is five tiny little pieces maybe 2 1/2 to 3 ounces and the ceviche you could fit in an espresso cup and not good. It was super tiny and the Greek salad was a nice piece of feta cheese and a chopped up tomato with some green beans. The kebab was decent portion and delicious . We had five things and I left hungry, I did not read all the other reviews but I am shocked that more people didn’t have that opinion . when I go to Santorini on first Street, which I go to often the Greek salad is beautiful with all kinds of feta cheese, olives, tomato and lettuce . Same for the octopus which is twice the size and more tender and a better char flavor.

The service was attentive with the manager coming around a few times to check on us but our server basically just walked up and took our order he looked lost or lacking in English which was awkward. He literally said one or two words which i couldn’t understand.

If you want to go for a couple light dishes it’s nice or order at least 4 dishes per person for...

I cannot say enough wonderful things about The Bakalo on West Ave! New chef , new menu, new crew. That are fantastic This restaurant is an absolute treasure in Miami. From the moment you walk in, the amazing atmosphere transports you straight to a charming, cozy street in Greece. It’s the perfect setting for a truly memorable meal.

The menu boasts a great selection, but everything we tried was exceptional. The Mediterranean flavors are executed so well—you can tell each dish is prepared with care and high-quality ingredients.

A few highlights we loved:

· The Adana: This was, without a doubt, one of the best versions I have ever tried in the entire Miami area. Incredibly flavorful and perfectly cooked. · The Wraps: They have created such delicious and satisfying wraps! An absolute must-try. · The Salads: Do not miss out on the salads! They are fresh, vibrant, and a perfect complement to the meal. · The Liver: For the more adventurous foodie, the liver was a standout—unique and expertly prepared.

What truly sets The Bakalo apart is the spirit of the place. We were so impressed to see the chef personally caring for and checking on orders in the dining room. That personal touch and dedication to the guest experience is rare and so...

Miami Beach already knows them — Chefs Çağlar & Engin are back and raising the bar again! For the best Adana, şişlik, ciğer, and mezes, this is the spot. Everything comes with their signature touch — the presentation, the flavor, the warmth — it’s simply their way of serving, and it shows in every bite. Whether you’re coming for a family gathering, a smooth night out, a quick bite, or even a fine-dine experience, Bakalo fits every mood. When your fridge is empty and you have no energy to shop, just drag yourself there — they’ll take care of the rest. And a special note for the waiters — truly some of the best in Miami Beach. They’re attentive without being pushy, always smiling, and make you feel like you’re dining among friends

And don’t even think about skipping dessert… it’s the perfect way to end a wonderful meal. Absolutely lovely place. Mire than a...

Bakalo Mediterranean is an absolute gem in Miami! From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You can tell they take great pride in what they do. The food was outstanding — truly authentic Mediterranean flavors that transport you straight to the Aegean coast. Their Adana Kebab is hands-down the best I’ve had anywhere — perfectly seasoned, juicy, and full of flavor. We also tried the grilled octopus, which was incredibly fresh and tender, and the Greek salad, which tasted just like the ones in Greece — crisp, vibrant, and full of flavor. A special mention goes to the Beyti Kebap; the presentation, flavors, and aroma are just amazing! Bakalo Mediterranean has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Miami for authentic, high-quality Mediterranean cuisine. Highly recommend!

A Hidden Gem in Miami! This cozy Aegean restaurant is an absolute standout. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff are incredibly friendly — but the real star here is the food. Every dish was flawless. We started with appetizers that were fresh, vibrant, and bursting with flavor. The lentil soup was hands-down the best I’ve ever had. The salads were crisp and perfectly dressed, and the Adana and Saslik kebabs were grilled to perfection — juicy, tender, and packed with authentic taste. To finish, the baklava and orange dessert were divine. Easily the best in town. You can taste the care and talent in every bite. Huge congratulations to the chefs and team behind this amazing place. I’ll definitely be back!
