Hi my name is Allison LaBar, I just got released from ICU. I wanted to apologize for not being able to come in. I am so sad the hospitalization caused me to miss out on such an amazing opportunity đ˘ I will give you a great review anyway because your staff has been so kind to me. Maybe one day I will get the opportunity again. Thank you so much for everything. I was so very excited to have it done and after all the planning and preparation being placed in the hospital ICU ruined my chances of having an amazing opportunity to have my girls and me in a gorgeous one-of-a-kind photograph. I am not even mad about the $300 deposit I lost (although I really need the money), because I so much would have rather paid the $300 and gotten the photo. I get questions all the time about it and I only have good things to say about you and your amazing staff. It's not your fault nor mine that I was in ICU. God Bless you all for trying to give me this great opportunity. I wish I wouldn't have gone to the hospital and just dealt with it until after the photo. I didn't know I had a hole in my esophagus that was making me aspirate into my lungs causing double pneumonia. It just seems even when a great thing comes along I still can't do it. I will keep trying to win again. Who knows maybe I will get an opportunity to try again. Regardless, I wanted to give a special thank you to the lady that helped me the most (I am sorry my mind is drawing a blank with her name, she has a beautiful accent) she took so much time and genuinely cared when my mom said she wouldn't come down even though I got her a plane ticket and everything for her to have this photo with me and my daughters. She was there for me as I cried, about the disappointment that my mom wouldn't be in it. This photo was so important to me that my mom and sis and I no longer talk. But your employee was my counselor throughout reminding me that my girls having the photo with me was more important. A lot of planning and money went into something that wasn't able to happen all because of an illness. You truly have an exceptional staff and I desperately wanted to have this day with my girls. Even though it didn't happen I wanted to thank you for giving me the opportunity. God Bless you all and if I ever have money, I know where I will go to get the best...
Read moreWe just received our portrait and we could not be happier! I won a Facebook Contest for a family portrait; I have to admit that at the beginning I was skeptical and I did my research so I went ahead and book the photo session (there is a deposit required for this, but many studios would require a deposit as well). We did not stayed at the offered lodging as we live in Miami and we won a portrait session in the new Brickell studio. We had some conflict with the time (I recommend to triple check your appointment time) but that did not affect the outcome, an amazing family keepsake. We were originally scheduled for a 8:30 shoot and the last confirmation call and email received said 9:00, so we arrived there at 9:00 (also we got caught on the rising bridge). Mr. Bradford himself was our photographer; he was upset about the schedule at the beginning but after showing that we were confirmed for 9:00 he calmed down. The studio is amazing, the pictures displayed are breathtaking; there is a designated room for you to fix any last needed touches and then you are taken to the photography room. Everyone was wearing a mask and they were respectful of the distancing. Mr. Bradford knows what he is doing; he tells you exactly how to position yourself and explains why (ex. showing teeth, position of the hands, showing jewelry); then he takes various pictures so you can choose the best. He also did some pictures of my daughter by herself (beautiful). Then you are taken to a room to look at your pictures so you can pick what will be converted to a timeless piece. The portrait we won is rather small, but it is perfect for our home, since we don't have a big space to show a big portrait; nonetheless the result was much more than what I expected. We were offered options to make the portrait bigger as well as the framing; we could not afford it (they do have payment plans), yet the staff was respectful of our decision and they were always courteous and professional. we did buy our daughter's portrait with the deposit and we are glad we did. If you have the chance to get your family photographed by Mr. Bradford and his team, do so; we are...
Read moreBeautiful studio and skilled photographer. !!! WARNING !!! for those who win the "free photo" promotion: walk away from the sales pitch if you do not wish to make a purchase. If only I'd read the reviews before arriving...
Despite being adamant that I did not want to make a purchase that day - expressed to the salesman that I preferred time to think about it and was NOT comfortable investing the high cost - I was pressured to make a purchase right then and there. I am a person that reads everything and can generally withstand sales pressure. Unfortunately, after a hike in the heat and sweating due to a parking issue and other factors on top of enduring the salesman's pressure for an extended period, I was so flustered that I signed without reading the contract is NON-REFUNDABLE. Even if you contact them the next business day like I did. (Another reviewer mentioned they tried to cancel 2 hours later and could not.)
I can appreciate their goal of creating lasting memories. However in my opinion, if they are as popular and sought out by high-paying clients as they claim, they should focus on those who are okay with paying high prices versus luring in and pressuring those who are not.
Sadly I do not want the pictures as they will not be a memory of a beautiful experience but instead, a lifetime reminder of how I allowed myself to be taken by a scheme. But such is life - it can happen to everyone and I am reminded that there ain't no such thing as a free lunch.
Parking is $15. There was street construction blocking their garage so we had to park two blocks away (also $15). But the staff did go above and beyond in trying to get us parking at the building.
I must also mention there is a $300 refundable deposit required for the free promotion to ensure I showed up for the appointment. I tested positive for c**id 2 days before. While they were willing to have me come in even though I was positive, I was not comfortable with that so they did allow me to reschedule the appointment without losing the $300 deposit. During my appointment, the $300 was applied to...
