I gave a lot of thought to this before leaving a one star review but after my experience yesterday I honestly have no choice. Let me start by saying I have never had a problem with the service here. My lashes are always perfect and I look amazing when I leave. The professionalism and customer service are what are a serious problem. Let me give you some background. Before I knew about what different types of sets were, I mistakenly booked for one that was $10-20 more than what I ended up getting. I did this a couple times and instead of refunding me (bc they don’t refund to your original form of payment, only Zelle), I just asked for a credit instead. This was a disaster as no one kept proper track of any credits etc. So, when this happened AGAIN, I was upset and wrote a 3 star review about being overcharged. I think someone there thought I meant overPRICED, proceeded to show my lash tech Jennifer the review WHILE I WAS SITTING THERE WITH MY EYES TAPED SHUT, bad mouth me about expecting free stuff (again, she misunderstood and confused the words OVERCHARGED with OVERPRICED), said something about how what if I talk to my children that way, was being super aggressive and bad mouthing me while I was laying right there, she was speaking inches from my face and I could hear her next to me tapping on her phone showing Jennifer the review. I even started shaking and crying from the anxiety of this woman bad mouthing me when my eyes are taped shut. It was actually two of them bad mouthing me not realizing Spanish is my first language and I could understand everything she was saying and I could literally feel her anger at me. I felt so bad for Jennifer having to witness this and I could tell she felt bad about how they were behaving towards me. All this to just offer me a discount to remove my review about being charged the wrong amount which had nothing to do with the techs service in the first place-that’s an admin issue. Again, I am not a cheap person and I never ask for free things, nor do I have a problem paying the FULL price for my services, the issue was I was getting charged for the incorrect service. So I was intimidated into changing my review but couldn’t sleep all night and had to sign back on and update it. I’ve literally never been treated like this in my entire life-imagine being bad mouthed while your eyes are taped shut and there are sharp objects near your face. I feel bad writing this because they truly are sweet, talented lash technicians. But they were bad mouthing other clients as well, specifically one named Cali or Kali if you’re reading this lol, they think you’re crazy (join the...
Read moreI really wanted to love this place since it’s so convenient and no too far from my condo but my first experience I got may lashes for a vacation and my lashes looked good at first but barely lasted the week vacation before they were falling out . Mind you I wasn’t in the water . I asked specifically for a new artist which they obliged for the second appointment. The second time the artist was unaware they had bad tape in the salon which she used to tape my lids and it was extremely painful when she went to take it off. I feel like the owner should have thrown out the tape if she knew it wasn’t good for skin . On top of that it took 3 hours for a full set . It was the most painful lash experience and my eyes were burning from the tech repeatedly pulling my lashes during isolation. My eyes were irritated the whole day then Fast forward day 3 i thought my lashes were still a little irritated due to the lashes being too close to my lash line which i specifically asked her not to do . Now I think something they used wasn’t clean because i’ve had lashes loads of time and i’ve never had a eye infection which im pretty sure is what I have now about to remove all of the lashes . Let me not forget to add that lots of lashes are stuck together and BOTH appointments the lash techs were at least 20 minutes late . When you have places to be this is extremely annoying and I almost lost my nail appointment. The eye infection i’m really having a hard time not blaming them seeing as the tape was apparently old and she borrowed multiple supplies from other techs in the appointment i can’t help think cross contamination happened at some point .
REVIEW UPDATE: I originally gave them 2 stars but at this point it’s just bad business . As a business owner instead of trying to see what went wrong in my appointment she condemns me from reviewing that i got an eye infection after receiving their services. How about taking accountability for the fact that you had old tape that nearly pulled off my skin in your salon that you failed to throw out or let your employees be aware was harmful to the skin. Talking to both of your technicians for being more than 20 minutes late . Finding out why one of your employees needed to borrow lash tape and lashes from another tech . Maybe had you properly supplied your staff i wouldn’t have gotten poor lash retention on the first appointment and and eye infection on the second that way i would have been a frequent client with no complaints. Unfortunately your business practices did not allow...
Read moreWhat a huge disappointment this was. I’ve been a customer since their original location.
When they moved to Edgewater, I noticed a problem right away: because the door was constantly opening and closing, the humidity affected the retention. No matter what glue was used, the lashes fell off quickly. On top of that, punctuality was not respected, so I decided to go elsewhere.
Two years later, just two weeks ago, I decided to give them another chance. I booked a foreign refill with a different tech and paid $150. On the day of my appointment, they called me just 20 minutes beforehand to say the tech was running 30 minutes late. When I arrived at the new time, I still ended up waiting an hour and 40 minutes—and only after I said I was about to leave did they finally take me in. The only reason I stayed was because I had an upcoming trip and really needed my lashes done.
During the appointment, the tech removed several of my own lashes, leaving gaps and extremely weak lashes . I could feel the pulling as she worked, which isn’t how it should be done. When she finished, the set was not volume, even though that’s what I paid for. Having had lash extensions for over 10 years, I know what a true volume set should look like. To make things worse, the ends of my lashes weren’t even refilled, and within a week they had already fallen out.
What upset me most was overhearing staff speaking in Spanish, assuming clients wouldn’t understand. I do speak Spanish, and I heard them say: “If clients come, just let them sit and wait—what are they going to do? They’ll wait anyway.” That was incredibly disrespectful of both time and money.
My honest advice: choose another place. The quality here has suffered—the lashes don’t last, and clients aren’t treated with the care or respect...
