.. so the Boyf and I were originally going to go to Latin Cafe 2000 right across the street originally (which I highly recommend if you want good authentic Cuban food) is but then we decided to try something new and different and moseyed on over to this rice place. Walking in it looks spectacular. I love the decor. It was pretty dead inside, only one couple, and about 8-10 employees. We went at 8pm so it being slow was expected. We thought it was like a chipotle type of deal where you kinda just pick as you go. Which it was, but for some reason instead of having us tell them they decided to have us do it our selves on this tablet thing. Which is strange because as another couple came in after us they took their order in the line but whatevs. Anywho. The software on the computer is a smidge confusing and well idk I just didn’t like it. It took us like 5 min just to order our stuff. He got a platter I got a bowl. They only made his platter and didn’t make my bowl. They tried to make it seem like I never ordered a bowl and I was like uhh no I definitely did because if not I just paid $33 for a very expensive chicken kabob platter. Finally after 10 min they figured it out. It was something with the system. Yay cool, but where’s my food man. By this time my boyfriends done eating and I’m pretty much over it. I just want my money back. This whole debacle is ridiculous!!! But apparently they can’t give me my money back because I paid with a card. Lol whatever. So I had to reorder my bowl which was difficult because one it was kinda hard to hear because of the music and also because I don’t speak Spanish and the people barely spoke English. I get it, it’s Miami pero come on. You have to be able to understand atleast the words of the food/products you’re selling. Had everything else went pleasantly the language thing wouldn’t have annoyed me. But I was so frustrated from everything else that it irked my nerves!!! Oh and food was ehh. The meats were dry. I got the braised lamb and it was hard to chew and just really dry. No juices. Although I must say their dips are very good. Needless to say I will NEVER be going back there. There’s far better food across the street at...
Read moreFirst time customer. Today, August 10 at 1:30pm the young American American lady with septum piercing, acne marks on face and has glasses on. Her name is ZEE, if you see her go somewhere else. Today she did not want to work, nor did she know the menu. It first starts off, I was viewing the menu w/ my friend. We asked her a simple question about the menu. She got frustrated and point at a picture, and told us go look at photos before we ordered. Instead of assisting us on the menu. I work in customer services , so I gave her another chance to redeem herself. I showed her a picture of what I wanted. She got frustrated once again, didn’t communicate with me. She walked over to the register type something and helped another customer. I had to interrupt the customer she was helping, to ask her did she put my order in. Then when she put my order in- it was still wrong. I had to ask another employee to come in and help before I asked to return my money. I also asked the employee is everything OK with her? She told me she was not having a great day and I had to also educate her that everyone has “ bad days “ and we all live underneath the same sun. If she cannot do customer service, she cannot work here because she ruined experiences for others and company reputation. On that note, I will no longer be eating here. It was the worst experience ever. I am not one to write reviews, but this one was called for. She was beyond rude. Run if you see The African-American girl with glasses and acne on her face with a septum piercing. She will ruined...
Read moreThis place surprised me. I was hoping for find a go-to shawarma / falafel place but when I didn’t see it on the menu, I asked the cashier and she said they don’t have it (?) . The falafel balls were smaller than what I’ve had at most other similar restaurants. The hummus was also small, and was a receipt that seemed to include like, mustard? Vinegar? Pickle juice? Something that was over powering, sour and unappealing, and not enough garlic. Oh- They Don’t Have Ice. Again, if you order a drink here, you’re told no, we do not give our customers a cup of ice. In Miami. In July. So, that too was really strange. *At least, that’s what she said to me after I ordered a soda with my meal. Maybe the ice machine was broken, maybe their water line was shut off, she didn’t say that, she just said “we don’t have ice” and left it at that with a deadpan and flat affect. Im not a person who’s expecting meals to be “super-sized”, I don’t enjoy feeling bloated after a meal but man, the portions were on the small side- especially for the prices on the afternoon we are here. Food was served on lovely flimsy, cheap styrofoam plates that couldn’t support the pressure of the plastic knife, as I was trying to cut up my meal. It was one of those experiences where, after you’re finished and you think back on what you paid, and the food, and the service, it’s like, man, that wasn’t worth it. Food taste was average, not bad, not over...
