Our first visit to the optometrist with our son and such a terrible ... today we had an appointment with Dr. Iqra Wahid. Everything started out great. We were greeted in a friendly manner, my son was offered something to draw and given some stickers. Before the appointment with the doctor, the girls checked my eyes three times on some device and said that we needed to wait a little. My son was engrossed in coloring and crayons. We didn’t wait long and then the doctor invited us into her office. She started doing tests on one computer, then on the second. Everything was fine until she started checking my vision by asking my son to name the letters. He is 5 years old. He was born in America. He went to an American kindergarten and went to school. He knows English very well. I don’t know if it was because we speak Russian. Since I was born in Belarus and I speak Russian. The doctor didn’t listen to my son. She just said angrily that I can’t check him! Your son doesn’t know the letters!!! He doesn't speak English! You need another specialist who knows your language. My son doesn't know the Russian alphabet at all. She didn't listen to me and ran out angry into the hall where they sell glasses. I heard and understood what they were saying. She stood her ground and said that the examination was over for us. Of course, this upset me... because what she said wasn't true. I think because we are Russian and she has a biased attitude towards our people. My son is not guilty of anything. Maybe she was having a bad day... But this should not affect the customers in any way. This is the first time I have seen such an attitude in 7 years in the USA. It really offended me and I cried... yes, I just started crying and left. But soon we came back. You should have seen the eyes of Dr. Iqra Wahid... she was furious and immediately went into the office. I decided to immediately go to the store manager and resolve this issue. I asked him: why didn’t the doctor complete the examination? He said that my son doesn’t speak English. He suggested another doctor who knows Russian. He asked me to come on Monday. I told him that my son doesn’t know the Russian alphabet. I suggested that he make sure of it. I opened the English alphabet on my phone and my son named all the letters without mistakes. Of course, he was shocked. And he immediately went to the doctor’s office and sorted it out. I don’t know what their conversation was like, but he brought me the results of the vision test, which were done on the computer. The manager and sales consultant brought out a sheet of paper with numbers and asked my son to name the letters he saw in the glasses they had selected for him, and he again said all the letters without mistakes. We immediately ordered glasses and paid for a consultation with a doctor. Honestly, I would not have paid a penny for such service and attitude. All the store employees were very kind to us. They tried to solve our problem. But the doctor behaved very unprofessionally. She did not come out and apologize. I am sorry that my son listened to all this and did not understand why I was crying. I had to lie and say that I was hungry and wanted to eat. It was a sad experience. This doctor should not work with children. Pay for her session with a psychologist. I sincerely hope that you realize that you were wrong. The manager kindly offered us a 15% discount and fast free home delivery. But I would have been satisfied with the doctor's apology. And for her to check my son again and tell me the exact result of his vision. And not to tell the whole store, thinking that I don't hear, that my son doesn't understand anything! And she refuses...
Read moreI came into Warby Parker feeling pretty crushed after breaking my favorite pair of glasses—especially when I found out they had been discontinued. I wasn’t expecting much, just hoping to find something similar. But what I ended up walking away with was not just a new pair of glasses, but one of the best customer experiences I’ve had in a long time.
Obi was an absolute standout. He took the time to understand exactly what I loved about my old frames and somehow found a pair that looked nearly identical—but with a bolder, more expressive color that actually suits me even better. His knowledge, care, and attention to detail were next level. Some people are truly made for what they do, and Obi is one of them. He made me feel like family—welcoming, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in helping me leave happy.
The entire team brought that same energy. From the warm greetings I got when I walked in to the casual check-ins from other staff members while I browsed, there was just a great, friendly vibe throughout the store. Even the doctor who did my eye exam was amazing—thorough, kind, and super accommodating. I felt respected, taken care of, and completely at ease the whole time.
I left feeling genuinely uplifted, and although my new glasses are still on the way, I cannot wait to get my hands on them. I already know I’m going to love them. Thank you to Obi and the whole Warby Parker team—you turned a frustrating situation into something special. I’ll definitely be back and will be recommending you to...
Read moreI rarely do this, but Warby Parker deserves it. I got my eyeglasses more than one year ago but they got scratched. I started searching for new glasses online because I wanted to change the style but I couldn’t find the ones I liked at WP so I decided to get a new pair elsewhere. When I decided for a new pair, that I fell in love with, I went to check my old prescription on my last order at WP and I saw my order said “anti scratch lenses” so I contacted WP’s customer service online to le them know about my case.
I initially contacted WP just to let them know what happened because I really wanted the new eyeglasses I chose, but the customer rep replied: “it’s been more than a year, you don’t have warranty anymore but we will honor this and will send you the exact same pair you have now”. When the new pair got in the mail the glasses were not adjusted so I went to WP in Coconut Grove and the service was GREAT. Was a smooth experience. Everything was very organized, everyone was so attentive an genuinely welcoming that I was surprised. I decided that I won’t change my eyeglasses anymore just to keep wearing WP glasses and when it’s time to change my prescription I’ll definitively will get WP again.
As a marketer and customer I must say I am impressed by this company! CONGRATS and keep being an excellent example on how to build loyalty among...
