Love Shack Fancy was founded by Rebecca Hessel Cohen who is also the creative director. Born in Manhattan, Rebecca was working in an editorial fashion position when she tried her hand at designing her bridesmaid dresses using her love of vintage and travel as an inspiration. Next she designed a collection of silk dresses. Love Shack Fancy opened its first store on Bleecker Street in Manhattan in 2019. The flagship store is in Sag harbor and there are other locations in Nashville, Houston, Greenwich, Charleston, and Palm Beach.

Love Shack Fancy stores are very romantic and charming. Each store is influenced by its location and this Miami store reflects Art Deco design and they carry printed pillows in a Coconut Grove pattern. The Coconut Grove store opened on October 23rd and the outside is wreathed in pink blooms. Inside the store, pink is the predominant color of the women and girls clothing and home goods which include wallpaper and bedding. The store sells the LoveShackFancy brand, Zingara Vintage, and collaborations like LoveShackFancy x Beach Riot. Everything is very floral, pastel, and girly, think a garden party with the Queen or Elle Woods from legally Blonde. The LoveShackFancy brand is known for its hand dyed fabrics and floral prints.

While I loved looking around the store and chatting with the friendly sales girl, the clothes are not for me. I don't have the right body type and even if I did I am not about to drop $125 on a T shirt or $400 on a dress. It is also my understanding that they do not accept returns. Love Shack Fancy is very popular and are opening new stores all the time. People in Miami have money to spend based on what I saw in the Design District so I do not doubt that they will be reaching the right demographic...

Not even worth one star. Horrible customer service and incredibly condescending staff - including the manager. I spent over $2K and later decided to return two items and come to find out they have a no return policy which was never stated. They have a microscopic sign at the check out that is basically ineligible and they never alluded to it verbally at check out. For being a high spending customer I was appalled at their response. BEWARE (since they don’t tell you) you can make returns online but not in store.Highly overpriced for the quality of both product...

I came into the store recently to make my first LoveShackFancy purchase. Given that I’m taller (5’9) I wanted to be able to try on prior to purchasing. Sammi was able to help me find the perfect dress- the GWEN. The girls in the store were so helpful, bubbly, and fun which made the experience that much better!! A few days after my purchase the girls reached out to make sure that I loved my dress and to let me know that they’re here if I’d like anything else. Such a feel good store!! I also have received so many compliments...
