I'm a huge fan of Panther Coffee and as a West Coaster, I recommend it to people near and far but especially individuals new to the area and looking for good coffee.
My experience last week was completely unsatisfactory, it was outright disturbing and very disrespectful. As the prices at Panther continue to rise, customer expectations logically should also. But this incident was very basic, at bare minimum, the staff should have gotten this right. I can only imagine what the outcome would have been with even the slightest complexity.
She was the ultimate POOR representation of Panther. I'm not on the payroll and I do a far better job than that.
I left disgusted.
Starbucks whooooo???? The customer experience offered here is unparalleled. I've been patronizing this location for the last couple of months and the experience has not faltered. Since Day 1, Lucho has been so hospitable (he knows my order by heart qnd can spot me in the crowd) and the coffee is so delicious - yes they have oat milk on deck and their chocolate sauce is housemade! Today I was treated like royalty by both Ruth and Lucho. Ruth literally said in response to my custom request, "We like to take care of our regular customers". SOLD! And it all makes sense. Not only does the customer base here have great taste but you meet some really awesome, kind and considerate people while standing in line! I believe that's a reflection of the staff. This place has great karma all round so I leverage it to start my work day!...
Read moreAs a true coffee snob I have to say this is the BEST coffee in all of South Florida! I was lucky enough to visit this spot after a terrible coffee experience at a different shop recently. I was impressed with the delicious and great quality of the coffee at Panther coffee. Not only is the coffee completely amazing but the atmosphere is just awesome! The location is beautiful and the baristas are great! Excellent customer service and incredibly friendly staff! A MUST for all in South Florida and all of Florida! These guys are they real deal serving true coffee. They also sell their own coffee which is really amazing! Proper Coffee for people who know the difference. Their single origin espresso (Ethiopian) was very nicely done. Creamy on top, lots of citrusy, cherry-like hints in the espresso. Try a pourover (Nicaraguan). The texture is voluptuous but not too thick, mild smooth flavors. The coffee smell is just amazing and you can feel it right when you open the door to this place. The taste and variety of the products are also amazing. There’s a reason they draw in such big crowds and it’s the incredible true coffee they roast and serve!
They need to contact The little sugars (which needs to improve on their coffee which is really gross) and other coffee shops to get this delicious coffee in there! Get this coffee everywhere in Florida and beyond! Panther Coffee needs more locations fast! Excellent! Highly recommended! ...
Read moreTheir coffee is good but… I’ve been going to the Panther coffee shop since they opened five years ago and before that used to go to their location in Wynwood. I also buy there whole bean coffee a the supermarket. That said, I was really disappointed when they raise their prices so much that now it’s $8 for a latte. In Miami that’s a super overpriced. They charge extra, almost a whole dollar extra, for alternative milk, or even to put simple syrup in your coffee.
Before, in the golden days, they had simple syrup dispensers at the bar, and now— I guess they figured they could charge extra for that.
It’s just disappointing, and I will no longer be going there. Also, the baristas aren’t nearly as friendly as they used to be, and they take forever to even say hi or let you know that they recognize your presence.
I also recognize that inflation is a real thing and understand that businesses have to do what they need to do to survive, but it just seems exorbitant. As a Miami local, it seems that the market now caters to people who may be used to paying those types of prices instead of local people who are trying to support local companies. ————- Update it’s now $8.68 for a...
