TL;DR:Tour guide was informative and funny, but beware of scams. Do NOT enter the raffle and the pictures are not worth it.
We booked a sunset cruise tour a few months in advance. Due to the later sunset time in May, they called the day before to let us know it would be a regular cruise instead. This wasn't a big issue, but it's something to keep in mind if you're buying tickets months ahead.
Photos: While waiting in line, they take a photo of each group, which they later try to sell to you for $40 for physical copies and $45 for physical copies with a small frame and digital copies. We chose the $45 option for the digital format. Later, we discovered an additional fee of $15 to "unlock" the digital photos online. Had we known about this extra cost, we wouldn't have purchased the photos. The photos themselves are just two shots with various green screen backgrounds.
Cruise: The tour guide was funny and included some inappropriate jokes, which I enjoyed. He spoke both English and Spanish. The tour mainly showcased large houses, offering little insight into Miami's culture. The ride was smooth and comfortable, and the timing around sunset was perfect as the sun wasn’t directly hitting us and the breeze was pleasant.
Raffle: During the tour, the guide introduced a raffle where we provided our name and city. Since no email or phone number was required, we felt comfortable entering. Our friends were one of about five winners. Despite this, they brought my girlfriend and me down as well. It turned out to be a timeshare scam, as noted in other reviews. They promised a free trip if we attended a 2-hour "tour," covering transportation costs. The lady running the scam tried to collect our IDs and a $40 "refundable" deposit. After discussing it privately, we declined, and she angrily tore up our papers before moving to the next "winner." Avoid entering the raffle.
Lost and Found: After the disappointing photo and raffle experiences, we realized we misplaced our Airbnb keys. This was our fault, and by the time we noticed, the cruise company had closed. The next morning, they called us back at 11 am to confirm they had found the keys. When we went to retrieve them, the first lady we spoke to barely spoke English and kept trying to sell us cruise tickets. Her manager, who was aware we were there for the keys, finally intervened after we insisted. He handed us the keys right away, but only after trying to sell us more tickets.
Conclusion: If we could go back in time, we would not have gone on this tour due to their shady practices. There are better ways to spend your time and money than on this...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of taking this boat tour in Miami, and I can confidently say it was one of the highlights of my trip! From start to finish, everything was absolutely perfect. Here’s why I highly recommend this tour: Perfect Duration: The tour was just the right length—long enough to soak in all the stunning views and enjoy the experience, but not so long that it felt drawn out. We had plenty of time to see Miami’s iconic skyline, celebrity homes, and the beautiful coastline. Bilingual Tour Guides: The guides were fantastic! Not only were they knowledgeable and entertaining, but they also seamlessly switched between English and Spanish, making sure everyone on board felt included and informed. Their passion for Miami’s history and landmarks really shone through! Clean and Comfortable Boat: The boat itself was spotless and well-maintained. It had plenty of seating, both shaded and open areas, and the overall vibe was luxurious yet relaxed. I felt safe and comfortable the entire time, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Breathtaking Views: The route was incredible—we got up close to some of Miami’s most famous sights, including Star Island, Fisher Island, and the downtown skyline. The guides pointed out interesting details and shared fun stories, making the tour both scenic and educational. Overall Experience: This boat tour exceeded all my expectations. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, this is a must-do activity in Miami. It’s the perfect way to relax, take in the beauty of the city, and create unforgettable memories.
I’ll definitely be recommending this tour to friends and family, and I can’t wait to do it again on my next trip to Miami. Don’t miss out—book...
Read moreOverall, we were very happy be booked this tour! I was so pleased that even in the upper level of the boat it was completely covered which helped us stay in the shade as much as possible. It was super hot, and this made being outdoors much more bearable haha.
The guide on our boat was really great. He spoke English and Spanish, and played fun soundtracks that went along with some of the houses we were seeing. Overall I thought the experience was enjoyable. We saw and learned a lot and it was a nice fun experience for visitors to Miami.
That being said, I'm removing a star for a specific reason. They had a free trip giveaway where they had people fill out a form for a drawing to win a free trip. I'm quite skeptical of these things but I took a chance and I "won." I wasn't sure what to expect but a woman working for a third party travel agency collected me and my friend from our seats and escorted us downstairs so we could pick our prize. Honestly it felt really strange and out of place. I didn't want to spend time while I was on this tour having a travel agency "sell" me free vacation options and put me on the spot to pick something. In that moment too I didn't want to waste more time and just told them I wasn't interested. When we went back up to the top deck, someone had taken our seat since we were sitting right by the edge. Great. This was honestly the only drawback and if I did this tour again I would just avoid the enticement of a...
