The boat trip itself was pleasant enough. It is the check-in and locating the launch site that leaves a lot to be desired. The gentleman at the ticket check-in booth directed us to walk to the Mojito Bar and take a left turn, then walk to the red umbrella. What he failed to say is that one must walk PAST the Mojito Bar and then turn left. We turned left at the Mojito Bar, but on the same block as it is on (with it located on the east). That caused much confusion and more walking around. Once on the boat, the tour guide was informative; however, he made unnecessary inappropriate references about women in bathing suits on other boats/yachts we passed. He also exclaimed, “Jesus Christ” many times which was offensive. The photographer did a great job and we purchased the photos taken before we boarded the boat. The boat tour was very affordable and our tour guide, DJ Pirate was funny and bilingual. The location is a little confusing, based on the address. Only because there are no maps showing where all the stores are and they use Victoria Secrets as a nearby location to the booth. I turned the wrong way when I arrived and walked the full length of the mall before being told it was at the other end of the mall (when entering from the front of the mall, turn left). The times you were to pick up your ticket was also confusing and anxiety inducing bc they mention arriving 45 minutes early, 40 minutes early, 30 minutes, there was no consistency. An instant virtual ticket would be much easier to manage. The cruise itself was enjoyable. I liked the music, points of interest and the views. I took some great photos. I would recommend this tour! We got to enjoy cruising along on a boat with food and snacks, some very cool sites for photo opps, a very relaxing time in general, and more information on Miami. I’m not the type to follow hype on celebrities so knowing who lives where was not the highlight — it was being over blue waters with my girlfriend without anything like work to worry about. Heads up for pale people like me, if you do the open top boat tour there’s still a lower level to get some shade.
