From the moment I left the salon, I knew I had to make a review. I visited this salon last year but I finally got around to it. I don't want other people to rely on the positive reviews like I did. First, when waiting in the salon my first impression was that it was very rowdy. Super loud music, people yelling while speaking, and the employees were acting unprofessional. It felt like I was at a club. Second, once I sat down with the tech, Andrea, right off the bat she had a horrible attitude. My brother came to the salon with me and he noticed how she was rushing the manicure and rolling her eyes if I didn't remove my hand from the UV lamp fast enough. When I discussed my design with her she told me to change it to something different because she didn't want to do it. I think she did not want to do the other design because it takes longer. Later, we found out she was annoyed because she wanted to rush me so she could have lunch. I guess she was hangry and took it out on me. Then a girl came in while I was finishing up and it was clear that she was close with the owners. They spoke so loud, I heard their whole conversation. The manicure was expensive but I paid and left a tip. My brother and I discussed how horrible the experience was but it was over and I wouldn't be coming back. Finally, what really made me realize I had to leave a review was the quality of the work for the price. The next day the GEL manicure started peeling. I have gotten gel done so many times and I have NEVER had the gel peel at all much less the next day. So, the manicure I paid $80+ for was ruined in the next two days and I had to get my nails redone at a different salon a few days later. BEWARE of this salon and if the owner is reading this, please take this as constructive criticism and take responsibility instead of blaming...
Read moreThe manicure looks nice, and at a very good price, in my opinion ($35 for gel mani). However, I am a bit concerned about the safety and sanitation in this place. First of all, the place smells STRONG. More than the normal amount that a nail salon smells, which is sign of poor ventilation. Also, it is unclear if the tools were cleaned and It looks like many tools were re-used between appointments. Further, the surfaces were cluttered and not evidently wiped down between appointments. No employees wearing masks or gloves. Two of the employees were vaping, and it was really busy in there, so they definitely knew they'd be seen and didn't care. Pedicure stations covered in skin and nails. My manicurist seemed sweet but went HARD on my cuticles, to the point where it hurt, and one of my cuticles is now cut and I'm afraid it'll get infected.
I never leave reviews, and if I do, it's usually positive ones. I don't want to be a Karen. I still said everything was great and left a tip. But this was genuinely alarming enough that I want other people to know.
Note, I'm not from Miami, and having gone to several nail salons in the city now, they are all equally sketchy somehow. Even when searching only amongst the highest-rated places. Apparently it's just the norm. I don't know why it's hard to find a place that demonstrates their care for sanitation and safety (for you and their employees!), I would pay any price for that and it just does not seem to exist. If you want a cute manicure for cheap and are willing to endure the chaos and stress of this place, then this will do, I guess. And I'm not convinced there's a better place in Miami that I'm aware of, but I wish someone would fill that need...
Read moreWhen I first went, I got apres, and it was done terribly. My cuticles looked horrible. It didn’t even last a week. They were lifting the next day.
In trying to allow them the opportunity to fix what had happened. The owner decided that he wanted to laugh and block me instead of communicating that he was at the hospital with his wife, having a child. So that was unprofessional. When I posted comments on their page about the truth, they decided to block me nonetheless, they were patient and allowing me to tend to a death in the family and the cancer, that my mother discovered before attempting to fix it a second time.
I went in, and she seemed like she just did not want to be doing my nails at all. When it was time to cut my cuticles, she pulled an instrument out of a drawer, did not sanitize it. There have been multiple complaints on the sanitary conditions of this place. It hasn’t even been a full two days and the builder gel is separating from my nail. My cuticles have bruising. There are multiple places where there is blood under the cuticle that I cannot get out.
The business tells me that I am the only one that’s had a double problem in all of its years but I just think that maybe people didn’t allow them to fix their mistake like I did… this business isn’t sanitary. It isn’t professional. And your nails will not last. Please consider going somewhere else. Their pricing is incredibly high. What you pay will be different from what you see on the site please go somewhere else anywhere else. $195 for a pedicure that didn’t last and that left my feet dryer than before, and two failed...
