My boyfriend has been getting his haircuts here for a while, and when he asked if there was someone available who could do womenâs haircuts, he was told that Beatriz could cut my hair for $30. Since my haircut request is the easiest possible â just trimming my long hair into a straight line, I thought it would be simple. Unfortunately, it turned out to be the worst haircut experience I have ever had.
Beatriz does not speak any English, so communication was almost impossible. She asked me to look down, which I assumed was just the beginning of the haircut. I stayed looking down for about 3 minutes, waiting for her to continue, only to be told that we were already finished. What she had done was just cut across my hair while my head was down and considered that âthe haircut.â There was no proper technique, no checking, no balancing, no adjustments, nothing!! The result is uneven and now I have to get it cut again somewhere else to fix it. That means I lost twice the length of my hair that I had been growing.
When my boyfriend spoke with the barber about this, instead of acknowledging the poor job, the response was: âWhat did you expect for $30, a full service?â That kind of comment is completely unacceptable. First of all, a straight-line trim is the most basic haircut and does not cost more than $30 anywhere. Second, itâs not about âfull serviceâ â itâs about doing the job correctly, regardless of the price. If this shop cannot properly perform womenâs haircuts, they should not be offering them at all.
I left not only upset, but shocked at the audacity of being asked to pay for a service that was done incorrectly. Instead of asking me for $30, they should be offering an apology and taking accountability. My experience shows a complete lack of professionalism, skill, and respect for customers.
If you are a woman considering coming here for a haircut, please donât make the same mistake I did. This place is not equipped to do womenâs cuts, and what happened to me should never happen to...

She can fade but is terrible with the scissors. She overcharges and has poor customer service skills. I use to get my cut their from Danilo but since he moved from there like so many other barbers I now go where he is located just a few blocks away from this shop called Popeyes VIP Barbershop for a perfect cut with a barber that makes you feel VIP. I will never cut my hair from a this place...
