My experience at this restaurant was truly disappointing, especially because of the service. From the moment I arrived, I noticed an unprofessional attitude from the waitress. Instead of providing friendly and attentive service, she seemed completely uninterested in taking care of my table. Her attitude felt distant, apathetic, and at times it even seemed like she was annoyed just for having to serve. What made the situation even more uncomfortable was the impression that her lack of effort was due to the 18% service charge already being included in the bill. It felt as if knowing that the tip was guaranteed took away any motivation to provide good service, which is completely unacceptable in a place that is supposed to offer a pleasant dining experience. At no point did she check if I needed anything, if the food was okay, or if I required any additional assistance. For most of my visit, I was practically ignored. The food did not make up for the poor service either. Although the restaurant might have potential, the negative experience overshadowed everything else. When the service fails this badly, it becomes difficult to enjoy any dish, no matter how good it might be. People go out not only to eat but also to feel well taken care of, comfortable, and valued as customers-none of which happened here. Overall, it was an experience I would not recommend. Very bad experience. From the moment I arrived, the service was completely disorganized. The attention was terrible: the waitress never checked on my table and seemed to ignore it, perhaps because it was just a table for one.

Additionally, the bartender got annoyed when I asked whether the service charge was included or needed to be paid separately, which made the situation feel even more uncomfortable and unprofessional.

The food did nothing to improve the experience. Everything arrived without flavor, without presentation, and with quality far below what one would expect from a restaurant of this type. The wait time was long, and no one offered an apology or showed any effort to improve the service.

I recently visited Fonda Sabaneta with two other people, and we ordered the small picada, which was absolutely delicious! The portion was generous, the meats were perfectly seasoned, and everything tasted incredibly fresh.

Our server, Reinaldo, was outstanding. The entire staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. I also loved the open restaurant environment and the beautiful Colombian décor, which added to the authentic experience. They checked on us often without being intrusive and made sure we had everything we needed.
