Earthbound Trading Co. — Local services in Miramar Beach

Shopped at this location for the first time and found some good finds. Came back the next day and asked if they had a rewards program and physically pointed to the signage they had posted around the store saying "join today for 15% off" and yet the clerk said there wasn't a membership program.... i asked if it was just for employees and she said yes..... but that the whole store was bogo half off.... i googled as soon as i was done with my purchase if earthbound trading co has a membership/rewards program and they do... so the clerk just lied to my face... and no one mentioned a sale the previous day.. needless to say i joined the perks program and will be shopping online from now on if i decide to shop at all... if she wasn't sure she should've just said that, but when there's signage with QR codes around the store, as an employee you should be able to explain it and offer it/ask if I'm a perks member. Also the first day the associate was kind and welcoming but the next day associate did not greet me or offer assistance.. not sure why my experience was vastly different over the course of 24 hours but it really discourages me and I'm sure others from shopping in person, especially from a brand that isn't size inclusive and has a higher...

There was a time when we used to go to this location regularly, for the clothing they USED TO carry, throughout the store. My daughter loves the whole hippy, flowy skirt look and natural fabric. We spent quite a bit of money here in the past. And the staff had always been very helpful and knowledgeable about their products.

Apparently those products don't sell around here anymore. Because now they stock a majority of "things", instead. Novelty gifts, jewelry, pillows, arts & craft style nick-nacks, etc. And a majority of these things are available in other stores under a different name. And at a lesser price, as well. They've now lost all their originality, that made them unique.

And the children they employ there (not mature adults), come across as though they're merely there to receive a paycheck. Not enthusiastic to help or provide input to our questions. "I don't know", was the common answer when asked when the next shipment is coming for the size we need, or to see of there are other color options, or if other stores carry what we were looking for, etc.

So, there was a time we appreciated this store. But now they don't carry the products they used to. So, back to online...

I first shot the store when I was in Destin picking up my grandchildren on the 14th of June 2024. I spent more than 300$ on that trip. The tie broke after first wearing on 1 pair of pants. The tie broke on the 2nd pair the 2nd time they were used. I gave the store benefit of the doubt counting manufacturing problem asit was same pants different colors. However, I shopped again on the trip to return my grandchildren home on the 12th of July 2024. Spending 250$ the strings instantly broke on a maxi dress and everything washed with said dress turned green. The products are terrible. I can get better merchandise at a big price drop at the dollar store chains. I will never shop on line or in person with this...
