I have sat on this for a few days to gather my thoughts and also in hopes that the company would call and try to make things right, however they have not. Saturday was our third time dropping our dog to get groomed. I was apprehensive to take the appointment as the groomer was sick on Wednesday and had to reschedule for Saturday when I was out of town. The gentleman that scheduled and rescheduled assured me if I printed out what was needed to be done, it would be no problem as my mom was keeping our dog and taking him to the appointment. Upon arrival they told her it was a full day and it would be nearly 5pm for pickup. His appointment was at 12pm. Unbeknownst to my mom this clearly showed they had overbooked the groomer as it typically takes no more than 3 hours. Knowing that our dog had just healed from a previous hot spot and could not be left unattended long as he gets anxious and chews, something the groomer even admitted to knowing when I called back, our dog was still left unattended for 2 1/2 hours and chewed a huge 6 inch long open wound in his back side. The groomer found this only 2 1/2 hours later when she went to bathe him. The front desk attendant whom was very rude and untruthful called and told my mom he was aggressive and had opened up a scab and they couldn’t groom him. When I called back to speak with the groomer she had again admitted she remembered he couldn’t be left but they had and he now couldn’t be groomed. The worst part of the entire matter is that we had thought he somehow had reopened a previously healed spot as they had blamed him and this on his “skin issues”, however he had no open wounds upon arrival and as the photo shows, the previous hot spot remained closed. They didn’t even apologize or clean him up. They refused to groom him and sent him home as pictured. He should have never been left unattended and sat for this to happen. We were out of town and my mom and 11 year old daughter were left in tears to deal with this all until the vet opened Monday. Almost $300 in a vet bill for a steroid shot and medications, thankfully he is on the up and up but no thanks to What’s Up Dog and their incompetence and lack of care for...
Read moreI'm so excited this concept has grown into a 5,000 square foot reality. The team behind this idea has worked hard to make their dream come true.
Steve, Corey, and their staff have taken wonderful care of my pitbull, Cannon, for a year and a half now. They have trained him and been his daycare home. When his stomach was upset, Steve was the only person able to recommend a food that is natural, healthy, and what Cannon enjoys.
Cannon being a pitbull means he likes to chew, Corey has researched and found natural alternatives to plastic and rubber bones, that Cannon cannot instantly destroy.
This new store has allowed them to expand to provide for the nutrion and toy needs of all dog, cats, and ferrets alike. Even the dog beds they carry are made from recycled material and they have partnered with a local company to make costum dog kennels (aka beautiful handcrafted furniture that your puppo also uses)!
Their new and larger daycare facility will open soon and I know that Cannon and I are excited. Being a pitbull owner, my number one job is to make sure Cannon is an ambassador for his breed. Socialization and quality training is key! The team at What's Up Dog not only trained him, but they follow up with Cannon and me every time we walk through the door. Through daycare Cannon has learned to play with all dogs, any size, any demeanor.
If your looking for a place that will be able to provide you and your family the peace of mind of a well trained, well cared for puppo, then you have found the right place. Just remember this is a team effort. All of what Cannon had to learn, I had to learn as well. It's this training bond that creates more than trust, it creates understanding. Their slogan...
Read moreFirst off I want to say that I was so hesitant to take my 2 yo doodle to get groomed here. I had heard from one veterinarian and a few people to take him elsewhere. I had taken him there for daycare and he really loved it. So I decided to take him in and just express my concerns with the grooming. The groomer, Tori came out and spent 15 minutes with me reassuring me that she would take care of him and have him done in less than three hours. Well she delivered. He looked ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! She cut him exactly like I asked her to, he was done in a timely manner, and when I arrived to pick him up, he was practically licking her to death. His ears were clean and nails trimmed and filed. He just looked so fresh and happy. He loves going to What's Up Dog. The staff has always been professional and kind to me and my dog. The manager, Corey, even took time out of his day to contact me and make me feel confident that my dog would be taken care of. The store and daycare area are always clean and it smells nice in there. I will continue to take him to daycare and use Tori for grooming from now on. Please do not listen to negative reviews. Take your dog here and experience the 5 star service for yourself. Unfortunately I feel like no one takes the time to leave a positive review. All people do is complain these days. The employees are so helpful and have a smile on their face. Especially the young ones working the daycare. They're always so personable and pleasant to talk to when I drop off/pick up. Fantastic place! I'd leave 10...
