If I could give this owner no stars I would. Visited this store just because with my sister and paid for merchandise totalling $250 approximately which I intended to donate to someone specific in need. Now for items at a considerably low price $10 approximately you can imagine how many things were purchased.
Firstly while being cashed by a young member of staff and enquiring about a discount the manager speaks to the staff member in front of me stating very rudely that the coupon was applicable to the lesser item. I said nothing. I take out my money and pay and the young cashier then marks the $100 dollar bills to verify authenticity. After this the manager rudely walks over and asks if she marked the bills which she then responded she did. She didn't leave it there, she then went on to state in front of us, but not to us, that she got a counterfeit $100 the other day. She then proceeds to look to us and repeat it saying that's why she is asking. I used the opportunity to advise her that that's not something you do in front of the customer you do that in training or behind closed doors and that asking if she marked the bills and getting a yes was enough as it is insulting to make a point to repeat that in my presence. Rather than taking the advice or suggestion she proceeds to defend the position and tell me she sees nothing wrong with it as that is her policy. I reminded her that her employee stated she marked the bills and so the announcement as to getting a counterfeit bill in front of me was unprofessional and rude. She disregard the complaint and the matter escalated so I asked for my money to be returned and my sister did also. She then proceeded to shout and it became a shouting match as she was being consistently rude and had the nerve to tell me to leave her store and she would call the police. I encouraged her to do so as I wanted to indicate to them she is racially profiling.
She then proceeded to suggest something about going to court or a lawyer and restraining order as though I somehow was threatening her. At this time my sister had to indicate to her that I am a lawyer so I encouraged her to please proceed as this was no threat to me. She also indicated she will be calling the police because we were being loud in the store as though she wasn't the one shouting at us and being rude.... which we encouraged her to do and I even suggested calling my brother who is also a police officer.We eventually returned everything and left. There is more detail but this is already too long.
Talk about the WORST customer service EVER!!!!! I have never met a ruder and more disgusting human. Why would someone go into customer service when you have no ability to effectively communicate with people when you depend on people to sustain your basic business!!??? She is training teenagers to be just as rude.She is dismissive and clearly prejudice as she was racially profiling who she thought could afford to pay. I had to remind her you can't look at people and assume you know anything about them. She is obnoxious, rude and should never engage with human beings much less people she relies on to sustain her business. I have never encountered a more disgraceful attempt at business ownership and customer service ir rather they are not attempting customer service at all. It is indeed very sad.
This is definitely a no no store which is unfortunate because my sister has been into other platos closets and had better experiences but this one is a stain on them all for me. This owner should never be allowed to operate a business unless it is in a back room where she doesn't engage with anyone.
To prove my point watch how she will ensure she responds to this comment and spurs lies because that is clearly her personality .

For starters, I've never written a review in my life but I guess there's always a first. If you're reading this, don't even bother coming here. There's other franchises not too far away (id drive hours if it meant not coming to this location). I'm totally understanding of a store and their policies. It's their transparency of these policies to their customers that have an impact on ones experience. As for this store, there is zero so I guess they rely on people reading these horrible reviews on their store. Per usual, I walked in with my reusable bag filled with folded clothes (no stores accept loose clothes or plastic/garbage bags). While signing the paper authorizing them to take my clothes, I was told my first shock. I must pick up the clothes that they chose not to take within the same day or the money paid to me for my clothes will turn into store credit. I understand their unwillingness to some extent but i've been to many other franchises that allow you to pick it up the next day with no issue. I'm pretty busy (hence me never having written a review) so this wasn't what I expected but I figured I could make it work. I'm sure there's people who couldn't and had their time wasted and ended up having to go back another day cause they weren't informed beforehand. Few hours later I receive the call telling me that they've looked through my clothes and I can come by to pick them up (reiterating to me that my money will turn to store credit if I don't get my clothes by end of day). Of course, the late afternoon weather wasn't very favorable but it was the only time I could stop by. Dealing with flooding and thunderstorms to pick up some clothes is already an inconvenience but that's the tip of the iceberg. I get to the store soaking wet and confused when I'm handed a TRASH BAG full of clothes that have been thrown in without a care. Already taken aback by the audacity of them to throw my clothes in a garbage bag (hello what was the point of providing you a reusable bag), they have great news for me. "Unfortunately we couldn't take any of your clothes since they are more than two years old". You'd think that would be a great idea to inform the person before dropping off their clothes to be reviewed. I've been to different stores that walk you through each item explaining why it is they didn't take it. Never have I experienced dropping my clothes off and getting them back unfolded in a trash bag and sending me on my way. Well at least my money didn't turn into store credit since i picked it up the same day......what money?!?! All that inconvenience and for what? A complete waste of my time thanks to their lack of communication all around but they clearly only care about their time. I don't want to hear that this is something I should've researched before hand. If this store wants to be different than others then it's their responsibility to inform the customer that they're different. I'd like to note too that the clothes were by no means dirty or poor quality. Yet still, I don't care that you didn't take my clothes, you took my time and effort. All I got out of this experience was my clothes getting unfolded and put in a trash bag (not counting the inconvenience of driving through thunderstorms and wasting gas). I can't wait for this obviously greedy and inconsiderate owner to see this review. They will be looking for a way to reply using ChatGPT instead of looking for solutions to fix...

The first time to shop and the second to sell some clothes. When I came in to shop I bought two things. A sweatshirt and a t shirt. When looking through their items I saw a few name brand items but a lot of the items were very worn. A few items even had stains and holes. When I brought my stuff to sell I made sure to have it neatly organized and folded for them, I didn't bring any items in a trashbag. Majority of the items I brought were brand new still with tags. When I came in the lady just looked at me, told me they were super busy handed me a form to complete and to come back same day no later than 8pm. I said that was fine and left. When they called me to let me know my items were ready for pick up the woman who left the message was not professional by any means. Her exact words were "your items are ready for pick up, you can come get them." I then went to the store to get my items and they again just looked at me and said are you here for pick up, did we call you? I then replied "yes, I received a voicemail" and gave them my name. She began to look for the paper I filled out and at first she said, "no one called you", before I could pull out my phone to show them my missed call and let them hear their unprofessional voicemail, she then found the paper. She didn't apologize for calling me a liar or even acknowledged the fact that she was wrong. She told me how many items they were taking and the amount. I simply said ok, as I was not in it for the money really, I figured it would be nice to get a few bucks for these items I never wore. She then proceeded to tell me that my items were from stores they do not purchase from and that they were too worn. (The clothes I brought were not from any of the stores she mentioned and as I stated earlier 90% of the clothes I brought were brand new with tags) I then told her this and she replied "it's been a long day." When she gave me back my clothes that I had brought neatly organized and folded I noticed they were all just crumbled and thrown back into the container I brought. Needless to say I will NEVER come back to this location. I have been to the plantation location numerous times and always receive great customer service. I figured id try the Miramar location since its closer to where i live. Also just to add I took the same items I brought to Miramar that were "too worn" to the Plantation location and they took majority of it. I understand that each location may have more space for merchandise or needs for different items but it wasn't because my clothes were "too worn". Miramar you might want to hire other people who understand that when you work in customer service the entire reason they have a job is because of your customers and to be a bit more friendly and professional.
