After recently getting in Warhammer 40,000 and Kill Team, I was stoked to find out there was a hobby shop a lot closer than the nearest Warhammer store. I’ve stepped in a few times to check out the place and found the collection to be quite substantial. I made a few purchases and even had a few chats with one of the clerks about my start into the hobby and the possibility of coming in to play one day after getting all my minis painted.
With the announcement of Kill Team: Tomb World, I wasn’t able to grab a pre-order online and after checking out all the other options I had lost all hope in securing a box at a standard rate. With the release in a few days, I decided to give Guild Hall a call to see if they had any available. To my surprise, I was able to put one on hold and would be able to purchase it when it finally dropped. I was so excited and I felt a lot better about getting it from a local gaming store than from scalpers online.
I made it part of my weekend plan after work to head over and snag the box, only to find out that they sold my box to someone else. Even after giving them my name and phone number a few days prior, I walked out with nothing and utterly...

I recently visited The Guild Hall, and my experience was disappointing to say the least. I sat there for an hour without a single staff member acknowledging my presence. Two staff members were visibly available—one was painting miniatures, and the other was on his laptop—yet neither asked if I needed anything.
Toward the end of my hour-long wait, another customer came in and was immediately greeted and engaged by one of the workers. It was clear they knew each other, and he even suggested a board game for them and set it up for them to play together. Meanwhile, I was left completely ignored.
What made this worse was seeing other customers enter during my time there, and none of them were greeted either. But I was the only one who sat alone, without a greeting or even basic acknowledgment, for an entire hour.
It was incredibly frustrating and disheartening to be treated this way. I went in hoping to have a fun, engaging experience, but instead left feeling invisible. Based on this experience, I won't be returning and can't recommend this place unless they seriously address their...
Read moreAbsolutely love this place. Located in the mall by the entrance to hashhouse, a deceptively large space with a huge library to rent and play as well as a great selection of games to buy. With the average game costing $30 to over $100 it's great to try a game out before making the financial commitment. The guys who run it know their games and are quick to recommend something for you. I wanted something new and I told them what games I've played and what types of games and they recommend a game that I ended up loving. Everything is clean and bright. The chairs and comfy and the tables are nice and big. A great spot to hang out with friends and/or pick up a game to take home. They also have a selection of Warhammer, DND, dice, pathfinder, and even Gundam models. They also have a supply of mtg and pokemon cards for sale. Friendly owners, clean space, great selection....
