WOW WOW WOW. Legitimately one of the coolest shops Iāve ever visited in my life. I walked out going āplease let Jack White & co design/curate all shops. THAT is how you do it!ā Such a fun experience! Iāve been wanting to visit forever (Iām from TX) & this place DID NOT disappoint! The staff was so friendly, knowledgeable & accommodating. There was no shortage of things to do, see, or discover. Every small detail of this place has a purpose & is customized specifically to the TMR brandā¦it was truly impressive & overwhelmingly stimulating in the most positive way. Any real music nerd will love this spot! TMR carries a vast amount of amazing music vinyls & even has amazing records recorded RIGHT THERE AT TMR which are pressed/printed/packaged/sold there in-store. Their in-house merch is so badass, I wanted to buy it all. I ended up getting a graphic tee, a tote, a turntable platter cover, a 7ā vinyl disc spacer & a 7ā recorded/pressed vinyl interview of Conan OāBrien (my fav late night host/comedian) conducted by Jack White, himself. Thereās a record-listening booth to listen to cool vinyls on Audio Technica LP60Xās, a cool music/screen simulation station, a spot to play an electric guitar thatās already plugged & ready to jam & awesome books/posters all under gold/platinum plaques of Jackās & The White Stripesā. Iād live here if I could. Definitely requesting that Third Man trucker jacket for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAs a massive Pearl Jam fan, combined with my love for Jack White and all of his bands and projects, I took a behind-the-scenes tour of this location last month and the experience is something I will always remember! I talked to our tour guide, Mitch, ahead of time about how much of a PJ fan I am and he made sure to point out several key areas during the tour (not only where the band played, of course, but where certain pictures in the TMR Vault release were taken and the soundboard tape from that day). Mitch was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging - literally the perfect person to have as a tour guide!
I would recommend anybody interested in going on a tour to purchase their tickets ahead of time (I bought mine on the first day of the month because I knew I would be in Nashville for a work conference) because they do sell out. I counted at least four people who were unable to join our group that afternoon because there were no more tickets remaining. So book ahead of time for an amazing experience, whether you're a Jack White fan, Pearl Jam fan, or just a fan of this awesome...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNot sure who is gonna read this but I felt compelled to tell this story. My wife and my daughter went with me to TMR on a visit to Nashville. I was in town for a show at the Ryman and looking for something to do we stopped by the store.
When we were there as a family we recorded a message to my daughter in a record booth they rehabbed from WW2 which was a fun throwback. We loved it so much.
My daughter was playing around and gravitated towards the childrenās books. There by kids section a member of the store started chatting me up and noticed my kiddo looking at the books.
āShe loves books. Canāt get enough of em.ā I said.
Immediately he took interest and started talking to my kiddo and being really sweet. He asked if we were ready to check out and lead us to the counter. Turns out he was coowner with Jack White.
He told the clerk to give us the kids book for free. That made such an impression on my family. And between the record we recorded for our daughter and the book given to us for free our household will forever support TMR and anything they do. Iāll be telling 7...
