My girlfriends and I (5 of us total) booked a trip to Nashville for this past weekend and stayed at the Omni for 3 nights. Based on reviews, pricing, and location, we were hopeful it would be a great experience. Unfortunately, it wasn’t. Prior to our trip, we called the hotel to confirm we could have connecting rooms. This couldn’t be guaranteed, which we understood, but upon our check-in, the concierge told us they were able to meet the request. Upon entering our rooms, we didn’t find connecting doors. At first, we thought no big deal, must’ve just given us the wrong rooms. We went down to explain the situation, and were told the first concierge was mistaken and no connecting rooms were available. Asked if they could move us the next day, they said yes. The next morning we called down to check on the status of our new rooms and check out – they had no record of our conversation the day prior or the promise of switching us. We go downstairs and speak to Gail (who was amazing btw) – and she was able to get us moved and explained that our new rooms would be ready upon our return from brunch.
During brunch, we booked a day bed (that had a high minimum) at the W Hotel Pool that we planned on being at by 2PM (food and bar service ends at 430 and 530). Upon returning, we were told our new rooms were ready – our plan was to move our luggage and change quickly. Upon entering the first room, the fridge cabinet had its doors swung open, a wet towel was left on the nightstand, and we found pubic hair all over the toilet, bathroom floor, bedsheets (beds were made but in complete disarray), and on the wet towel left behind. I took photos and called down to the concierge – they said to come down and they’ll give us new rooms. I approached my favorite concierge – Gail – and showed her the photos. She was extremely hospitable and understanding, offering to upgrade us to a suite + 2 queen room. We ended up being 1.5 hours late to our daybed reservation, and only got to enjoy it for a couple hours. Not a good time when you have a high minimum to meet and planned on enjoying a beautiful day at a pool. While at the pool, I get a call from management asking if the new accommodations were up to standard – I said they were, but did insist given the amount of time wasted, the amount of unpacking and repacking, losing items in the process, being late to our booking, and occupying 6 rooms under 2 days, this was unacceptable. They offered to comp us a full nights stay for both rooms – which I appreciated.
Later in the evening, we were getting ready for a night out and a security guard unlocks the door and begins entering our room. Didn’t hear any knocking. He explained he didn’t know anyone was in the room (we’re 5 girls shouting, blow drying our hair, blasting music, so that was hard to believe) and that it was a “room check.” I called down to the concierge after he left to ensure it was a security guard at the hotel (never know these days) and they stated they would confirm and call back…. I had to call back 40 minutes later to get answers. The response was “prior guests left an item and he was going to search the room” – fine, I get it. But perhaps give us a heads up… a phone call… something… you don’t have an employee randomly just enter your room, especially when guests are obviously inside.
Prior to check out – I receive the bill. They only comped one room for one night. Again, I go down to the concierge (my favorite person, Gail, was there was help), and comped us the extra room. Overall, the hotel did meet standards when it came to rectifying the situation (in terms of the suite upgrade and comping us a night off), but our stay was a nightmare – there should never be this many issues for a hotel to resolve for a simple 3 nights stay. We spent more time contacting the concierge and going up and down to be accommodated, moving rooms, and shlepping heavy suitcases and multiple bags up and down between multiple floors and rooms. We could never get settled or unpack fully – never was worth it. We also lost items in our...

I called to verify that our room would be on an upper level, which was confirmed and noted on our reservation. I also called the morning of our trip to confirm the room location again. Upon arrival we immediately went to the front desk to check in. After waiting in line for approximately 30 minutes we were informed that our room was not yet available. (At that time it was 40 minutes beyond check in time 4:40.) The lady at the desk stated they were short staffed but she could not give me a time of when our room would be ready. She gave us drink tickets for the hotel bar (beer or house wine) and asked us to go wait there until the room was available. She said she would text once housekeeping had prepared the room. Another half an hour passed by without a text so I called the front desk. I was informed again that the room was still not ready and there was “nothing we can can do about it.” I was asked again to wait and be patient. After an hour and a half we headed back to the front desk. Again we were told that the room I had reserved on floor 19 was not available but offered a “comparable suite”. We accepted the room as it was now nearly 2 hours beyond check in and we were running late for a dinner reservation. Upon entering the room it was immediately disappointing. On the lower level 9th floor our view consisted of a rock pit littered with dead bird carcasses and the back side of another building. The couch was stained, toilet was loose, wallpaper peeling off the bathroom wall, and the bathroom vent did not work. The bathroom vent was particularly inconvenient as we could hear each other using the bathroom (and smell each other’s business). Upon calling down to the front desk again I was told there were no other rooms and that was our only option. Paying $500 per night for a “luxury King suite” I was expecting at least the ability to use the bathroom comfortably and in peace. We ended up using the lobby bathroom a lot as our loose toilet was unsafe. Side note: there were two bottles of .35 cent Nestle water provided on the counter. This was also an odd offering from a “4 star hotel”. Typically we see Fiji or Pana water or at minimum an Ice Mountain at 4+ star hotel. The next day (as it related to the Omni) was not much better. I called down to the front desk hoping to use room concierge to borrow a pair of scissors but was told I was not allowed to do so. Thankfully a worker at the hotel spa allowed me to use a pair. For the two hours we spent trying to rest in our room it was useless as our hall door rattled loudly and aggressively due to some kind of commotion in the adjoining room. Later that evening we decided to try the rooftop pool/ hot tub area. There were a few young kids who began cannon ball diving into hot tub splashing water in my face which was very disrespectful. No hotel employees came to enforce the “no diving” rule that was posted however the employees did make there way over to us at 9:50 PM to usher us out due to the pool closing at 10. All in all the experience at the Omni Nashville was mediocre at best and this is absolutely NOT a 4 star hotel. The staff made me feel like less than a person and I will not be returning. It was clear that the Omni could care less about my accommodations or the fact that they baited and switched rooms on us. 1 star because the location is convenient or else it would be zero stars. In addition, the Omni hotel did extend a $100 discount and a late check out for downgrading my room. If I would have known the room would be sub par I would not have booked at all. FYI: Parking is NOT included and is $60 per day. The valet/ bell hop service was not provided to us AT ALL for this fee. When requested we were told no one was available.
UPDATE: Omni corporate reached out to apologize and credited our bill...

I’m not usually someone who goes to high end places like Omni, but I treated myself to their Spacation pass for my birthday. It was a wonderful day!
The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Even as a local not staying the night I felt as welcomed and cared for as if I were a loyalty member.
The amenities were PRISTINE. I got to the pool almost as soon as it opened so I saw one of the staff members walk around doing his usual maintenance. I love to swim and have been at a few public and private pools in my time, and I couldn’t help but notice how meticulous he was in cleaning every single corner of both the pool and the hot tub. Every tile and corner got attention. He puts me to shame cleaning my own bathroom, lol! It made me feel all the more comfortable knowing that everything is so carefully tended to.
It was a busy day (July 4th!) but there was ample space and towels even as the pool filled, although I strongly recommend getting there before 8am if you want a particular spot! There’s a rooftop bar that provides complimentary water if you don’t drink very much and just want to stay hydrated. Pool was plenty big to accommodate everyone and I enjoyed the hot tub before the sun got too hot! (I’d love to come back just for that—perhaps when it’s cooler out)
I stayed outside for about 4hrs which is a lot for my pasty ginger self 🤣 That’s why I did the Spacation package—I spent the rest of my day indoors at the Mokara Spa. What a lovely experience. I got my own locker, robe, and slippers, not to mention plenty of complimentary beauty and grooming goodies to care for my hair and skin after all that sun. It was all very new for me so I wasn’t ready to do a proper treatment yet, but I didn’t feel pressured to and was welcomed to just enjoy the spa and its amenities. I spent a lot of time in sauna (wonderful!!!!!) and in the relaxation room, with a complimentary mimosa and snacks! I am a busy person who spends most of her time at work, at the gym, or studying. Having a bit of time in a relaxing space, feeling pampered, and being detached from my phone and the rest of the world was such a godsend. (I should mention that Nashville was INSANE on this day, even more so than usual, and the pool was a whole party after about 9am or so…you heard NONE of it in the spa. It was quiet as can be.)
Speaking of the gym and amenities: like with pools, I’ve used a few shared showers in my time 🤣 This was PRISTINE. Seriously, their cleaning regimen is exceptional. I took advantage and fully washed my hair before going home, and my wavy hair doesn’t always like hotel products but it loved whatever they used! It’s still soft and voluminous today.
What I will say is that it of course isn’t cheap, and there are plenty of added charges, but this is to be expected! For example, parking isn’t included although valet is available. (Locals know to use SpotHero anyway lol.) If you do book a treatment they add 20% gratuity automatically but they make that pretty clear. And the food of course is sehr teuer haha. But again, it’s a 4 star hotel with an onsite resort in the MIDDLE of Nashville! It’s literally neighboring the Country Music Hall of Fame haha. If you’re visiting Nash you truly cannot ask for a better location.
So in summary, I didn’t stay overnight but if my day experience as a local was any indicator, this is a wonderful place with caring staff and top notch amenities. I spent about 9hrs there and only left because my parking was expiring haha. I told my mom and sister about it and we wanna come back for a girls day sometime!
Thank you for the lovely experience,...
