Uncommon James — Local services in Nashville-Davidson

Let me just say it KILLS me to write this review but I drove over 12 hours all the way from MD and I was super excited to stop at Uncommon James. I’ve seen every episode of the show and I loved seeing the passion and dedication Kristen and some of her staff put in to the company so I honestly expected better. Let’s start with the store.. it’s in a weird corner not near other walkable places so it was kind of hard to find. There’s parking but not much. We were greeted when we entered. It was so underwhelming. There is basically nothing there. Like four tables of things and some stuff on shelves. Nothing was labeled. For example, it should have prices, material (“sterling silver, nickel etc) and then a name. I was looking at some bracelets.. are they regular bracelets or ankle bracelets and what are they made of? My skin is super sensitive to anything other than sterling silver or gold. At those price points I’d expect them to be made of something decent but they looked cheap. The rings I looked at were poorly made and chipping...their display items were showing wear. Not good. Their staff although smiling (except for that girl I recognized from the show, Raegan who looked miserable) didn’t ask if we needed help at all. After about 5 mins we left, disappointed and crushed. WOW!!! So last May on my bucket list was to come to Nashville. We did and besides going to two Amazing shows one at the Ryman and the other at the Bluebird was to go to Uncommon James - The store and staff were Amazing!!! I really was looking for a particular Necklace and in silver. I did not find it 🥺 Anyway I recently decided to order it online The Nashville and to my surprise I received today! Not only is the packaging so cool.... inside the necklace and it is gorgeous!!! But wait there are two little bags I only ordered one!!! I’m like they accidentally sent Two I’m going to call them to let them know (yes honesty is always the right thing) I do look at both and they are different and I love the second as well Star! Upon reading the invoice it has a stamp in the middle the reads (“Our UJ family is so grateful for your support during this time! We wanted to surprise you with a little extra gift from us to you. Let’s continue to take care of one another....Stay Safe xo”) I was so amazed at this I had to write a review this company is so caring and grateful for my one order that If I could and when I can I will continue to purchase items from UJ! I always visit Uncommon James every time I come to Nashville and always walk out with multiple pieces. Their items are so dainty and can be worn to dress up or dress down any outfit. I love how diverse the items are. I am obsessed with my "atocha" and "crescent" together, they layer perfectly. I have been wearing them NON STOP. "Duchess" dresses up the simplest of outfits. "Girl boss" medium earrings are my favorite and a must buy.

I NEVER write reviews but felt like I had to for this. I recently had an issue with one of my purchases. My "All Day" necklace was not as bright and gold as the other items that I had recently purchased. Even though it had been almost a year since I had bought the necklace, after only one email to their customer service team, a replacement necklace was already on its way to me. They didn't question or argue with me, they simply sent me a new one and apologized. Great customer service is EVERYTHING to me. It shows me the type of company Uncommon James is and how much they value their customers. I will buy UJ jewelry over and over again just based off of their great customer service.
