One thing I will say is that they do have a friendly staff when you are shopping for equipment/or making an appointment. When it comes to their installation work and prices on they're equipment in stock or online I would rather go down towards the Sac area. They have a very limited selection of Goodies at there shop. I have seen cheaper prices from competitors down in Roseville. Tunes 4 U is the only car audio shop around the area. It explains the extra cost. If you do purchase your next audio system from them. I would advise you not to have them do the installation. When they did the installation on my vehicle I asked for new wiring and lower Gauge wire, which was included in the bill. They never did the re-wiring. I noticed the wiring tonight when I had to pull out my Kenwood Flip screen deck because it stop working and I was trouble shooting it. Tomorrow I'm going to check out the speakers to reinsure they are what I paid for. All in all I purchased 2 Memphis mcx42 and two Memphis mcx62 speakers, also kenwood KVT-7012BT flip up screen DVD player. Sirius radio WITH free install and phone microphone that hooks up to stereo. They charge me over 1400 for everything, also to install just the Kenwood and 4 speakers. Started to have a bad feeling bout everything so I looked up the prices of equipment. I, myself could have bought everything for 950. Benefit of the doubt "on their end" includes shipping and I also went with the average price between the highest and lowest I seen online for each item. They "as in Tunez 4 U" might/probably have price deals from distributors or wholesale warehouses as well. They charged me just shy of 500 for the install of 4 speakers, that they did NOT run new wire for. Of which I asked and paid for, also install of the Kenwood screen. When I arrived to pick my vehicle up and did a little observation as he introduce me to my new toys briefly. I asked if he could Sync my phone, which you could tell he hesitated about. Then It seemed like he had other places to be. Instead of helping me figuring out my new system and giving me a proper walk through of my new purchase. After I spent a nice chunk of change i was a bit disappointed of the business and quality of work. His attitude and friendly service sure declined/got sour after payment and transaction was made.He tried to give me a quick tutorial of my new equipment at the same time passing me a stack of all my paper work. Which wasnt protected from the elements nor in order, warrantees and receipts scattered through the pile . No folder, binder, extra leftover box, not even a bag. Just pile of Manuals, warranties, booklets, receipts, etc. rush, rush, rush, rush, rush, rush. Then I had to ask again if he could please sync my phone because I thought he was a bit more educated on topic, plus I felt like I deserved it after all the money I spent "1400 smackers" lol. He decided to do it after a huff and a puff lol. Could tell he struggled a bit, little confused how to sync but he probably did it faster than I. Could tell he wasn't to happy bout finish the job 100%. Good luck to all, just sharing my experience at Tunez 4 U, Grassvalley/Nevada city area. It's detailed but that's how you know the...
Read moreI feel like the experience should have been better than it was. When i Scheduled an appointment To replace a blown 6×9 that was under warranty. in the rear deck aswell as install a ground wire. and tune the stereo aswell as test some speakers. They didn't bother to look at my car and see what it was going to take to complete the job. The back seat NEEDS removed so the speaker can be replaced and i had 3 amplifiers mounted on the seat. So i removed them and left all the wireing in tact and unbolted the seat aswell as removed the plastic around the seat.
All they had to do is lift the seat and lift the deck lid no tool's needed. So i wanted them to replace the speaker and reassemble every thing that had been taken apart but they only put it back a quarter of the way. they didn't test the speakers they didn't tune any thing because they didn't put anything back that was disassembled prior to the work they did although it was going to be taken apart anyway because The speaker can't be replaced otherwise.
So i did more than half of the job before i even brought the car in and then they did a quarter of the job they were hired for then charged me full price when in realitythey they only did 25% of the job they were hired for and the part they did do needs to be redone. so it can be properly reassembled. i told him i wanted every thing that comes with MY speaker even if they don't fit in the location. meaning speaker grill papper work and anything else that belongs to ME.
But nope can't get that or a proper receipt showing purchase of the product which has a lifetime warranty. That now I cannot warranty on my own because I don't have the information required by the manufacturer. Tunez 4 u why should i be at a loss and set back by redoing the job i paid you for?
You failed at examining the vehicle, and you didn't research information about the job with the model year and make i provided, plus you kept my things i told you i wanted, then you poorly reassembled my car after i did everything i could do, making the process easier and saving you time and effort.
I'm glad that you atleast said something to me before needlessly pulling my trunk apart because it would have just end up another job of yours I'd need to complete. Tunez for u you should have warrantied my speaker and sent on my way in stead of charging me for something that i now need to do over again.
The short Cummings made by a business should not be reflected upon a customer rather they should be absorbed by the business and processed into knowledge that influences improvement resulting in future...
Read moreRude, snarky staff. Did I mention rude? My first rude experience was when I called and asked if they would install a remote start equipped alarm system designed specifically for manual transmissions. The person I spoke to simply said no. When I asked why, he said "Because I won't." And hung up on me.
The second time I was forced to work with them, as a body shop damaged my motorized screen during some repairs. They said they would pay for it to be fixed if tunez4u did the repair/shipping to the manufacture. When it came back and the guy installed it, he didn't hook up my sub RCAs. I went back in and told him, and he asked me if I was sure I have subs. I told him the RCAs are running up the left side, feel free to check in the trunk to see if I have subs. He came back and said he saw the subs but couldn't find the RCAs. I reached right under the dash and pulled them out.
A month later the deck did the same thing.and they sent it back again. When it came back fixed, they refused to put it in unless I paid them the full price for installation, which is ridiculous since they didn't have to.splice any wires... just slide it in and plug in the harness they unplugged when they...
