Recently I went in the Canal Place shop and bought a couple of items - including booties that Victoria (the owner) herself upsold me on. I was VERY on the fence about them. And she assured me she would be able to take them back if I changed my mind. She did not mention at all any stipulation about the return… no time frame, nothing. Of course when I tried to bring them back I was told no. The store clerk was very kind and called Victoria to see if she would allow an exception. I was 8 days late to return according to Victoria. None of this had been explained at the time of purchase. She said she had made an exception for me already because shoes are never able to be returned. But she refused to take them back. I was literally ready to exchange the shoes and buy MORE clothes … and spend MORE than I had spent on the shoes initially. Allowing me to exchange would have made her business more. But instead she now has lost a customer for life. Oh and she blamed the computer system as if she doesn’t have a way to override it. I worked retail long ago and there’s always a way for it to be done.
I want to stress that I never write reviews. I am not the type to complain publicly. But this was just so ridiculous. And I fully respect return policies. But when the owner of the store tells me there will be no problem, I believed her… what a shame this is how she runs...

I decided when I got back home that I didn’t like the fit, but was fine with exchanging the item for store credit per their return policy. As I didn’t have an order number or packing slip, I didn’t want to send the dress in a box with no info, so I reached out to Indigo to ask about what info to include or how to start the return. Over the course of about a week, I called them twice and left voicemails, sent an instagram DM, and emailed them, and have received ZERO reply despite seeing them incredibly active on IG. Would not have purchased a single thing from them if I had known this would be their customer service. Cute stuff, but terrible...

The owner said it was listed as a final sale item online, but they did not inform me of that at the time of purchase in store. She also said it said final sale on my receipt which it did not.
