From the art and the artists that are showcased within to the gentlemen that keep these doors open, I cannot think of another space around the City of New Orleans that has made such an impression on my curiosity. Dave and Bill have become wonderful sources of conversation for me, who travels for work for long periods of time. I would go as so far to call them friends. If you are in search for that unique piece to bring home, look no further than the Idea Factory. Most items are made of wood and are unique, almost one of a kind! You can find kinetic sculptures, clocks, puzzles and toys. He happily chatted with us for what must have been nearly 30 minutes on two separate occasions--offering up his personal insights on a variety of things but also engaging us with questions. Very genuine. We would stop here again just to say hi to him...and would doubtlessly find something else...
