Okay, I'll preface by saying I never thought I'd be a Goddess who'd enjoy getting her nails done this much. This is a rather recent phenomenon for me in the past year and I used to not understand why people would spend money on this seemingly superficial thing, that was before I was introduced to ph7. I just leave this place feeling so deeply satisfied, even more in love with myself, and more confident (who knew this was even possible šŸ˜‚).

The ambience of this space is so relaxing and soothing, I adore their commitment to using natural and non-toxic products, led lamps rather than UV (recent articles of the dangers of this have spooked me, though I was reassured they use only LED lamps here). The quality of the nail technicians and their attention to detail during each session leave me speechless. I am SO grateful for Tracy! I request her every time and have had the pleasure of having her do my nails several times now. Every time I've brought a friend or lover along (this has happened atleast 3 separate times), they always leave giddy, grateful, impressed, and raving about their experience, so I know the other nail technicians are just as superb. Of course, I'd only bring them to the best in town. I can't say enough good things about my experiences here, though to be honest, I think Tracy and the fabulous Goddesses who work here are what make this nail salon stand out from the rest. The same way NOMA stands apart from all other michelin dining, iykyk. I've purchased the cuticle oil here too and it's superb and very reasonably price. I can't wait to try out some of their other clean self-care products.

Thank you Tracy and ph7. You have a...

BASICALLY ABUSED BY THE STYLIST

Before I begin the bad part of this review, I would like to say that my nails were well done and lasted four weeks.

The bad part was the service. I didn't realize what was happening until after, but it started out strange when they texted me in the morning saying I should come in earlier because a slot had opened up. I couldn't because I can't leave work early. I came in on time. After slamming the color books on the desk, the nail technician sat me down to start working away furiously. While she was prepping my nails, I tried to look at the colors, and she started yanking my arms to the other end of the table. (Which seems ridiculous? I got my nails done recently at another salon, and they worked at the middle of the table.) At one point, she pulled my arm so hard the binders full of nail colors crashed all over the floor.

She was working so fast that the whole thing was only an hour. During that time, she was not gentle; she created minor cuts in my cuticle bed from filing so hard and barely gave me a massage.

To top it off, the weirdest part was when a guest arrived, insisted on sitting next to me, and then looked at a color book. She didn't even get her nails done ... for like half an hour! There were many seats all around the salon! Why did she need to sit next to me?! I felt so claustrophobic!

This place is very expensive, and I expected much better customer service. I was very disappointed. I will be taking my business elsewhere. I don't...

I have been coming to ph7 now for two years, starting my third. Jenny is my person here, but they are alllllll lovely and talented.

I am going to start this review by saying that I am extremely detail oriented and SO PICKY! I have been to countless nail salons over the years and I was happy to be taken care of, but many times felt not fully satisfied with the time or patience taken with my nails.

The atmosphere of this salon is just what I need, every time I come in. The tea they serve is on point and there are no harsh smells or chemicals which usually arise in a typical nail salon. (It is a natural salon after all in case you didn’t know)

Jenny has taken her time with my nails every single time I have come here and always does such a great job. My gel manicure lasts for weeks and being a Dental Hygienist, I am using Purell or hand washing all the time so that’s impressive.

They all work so hard here and I am so grateful for Jenny and the ph7 team for being in this neighborhood. They are truly a pillar to my ā€œself-careā€ team.

Book your appointment ahead of time as a suggestion especially for the weekends ! Don’t be upset if they tell you they’re fully booked it you walk in šŸ˜‹.

I...

I often come to this place to get my nails done, and I always book with the same person because I’m used to her. They do a pretty good job with cuticle care and foot treatments. To be fair, the pedicures are usually well done, but the gel nails on my hands are just average — the polish typically starts chipping after about a week which I uploaded the photo. And their price is not that cheap. There was one time I tipped a little less than usual because of that, though I always tip every time I visit. I’m giving 3 stars mainly because during my most recent visit, the front desk staff rather directly asked me why I gave a smaller tip last time. While I understand they may be trying to improve their service, tipping is supposed to be voluntary. I already paid for the service itself, and it’s your job to make sure that work meets a good standard. If everything is done well, customers will naturally feel happy to tip more. Even though the front desk was polite in tone, asking directly about a previous tip felt a little uncomfortable. I still like how they do cuticle work, but unfortunately I probably won’t be coming as often anymore.

I got my wedding mani pedi here. Manicure was fine, but the pedicure not so much. The technician used a tool that cut into my skin so deeply that it left a blood blister. It was sore when I left but I didn’t see the blood blister right away (assuming it formed when I left/next day). Anyway, then wedding, honeymoon, and all the while had this gross black limp /ingrown toenail looking thing. I called to let them know and asked to come in for them to clean it up. I only asked for a basic pedicure. The manager told me their policy was they only did corrections with 1 week and they didn’t think it even from them in the first place. I was shocked and of course disappointed. Couldn’t believe that a wedding and a honeymoon weren’t excuse enough for why I didn’t come in that week, and that photo evidence didn’t lead them to consider that this was their doing. Don’t recommend going here. I understand mistakes happen (this shouldn’t have(!!) but still, I understand). But I don’t excuse the way they reacted and refusing to try make things right much less acknowledge their wrongdoing.
