Im alive, but could very well not be due to this stubborn unwillingness to LISTEN to a patient. If I had blindly taken his medical advice without doing my own research I would have been in a dire situation.
Had a few visits and thought he was a very kind, thorough, knowledgeable doctor. That is, until he started pressuring me to get the covid vaccine. I have vaccine allergies and I was hesitant, but he kept insisting it was fine. I ended up cross checking with some other physician friends whom I knew personally and I was advised against doing it since they were more familiar with me as they know me and how my body worked more than some guy (Ding) who saw me like 5 times for 10 mins each. As this was the height of covid and everyone needed vax cards to get anywhere, i asked for an exemption and he would not give it to me, stating that there are no ill effects from the vaccine and that I should just go and get it. I ended up getting the exemption from another doctor.
I eventually ended up getting the vaccine against everyone's advice because I ultimately became curious. I had consulted an allergist who had given me a choice to have in injected drop by drop over the course of a few hours to monitor my reaction. Seemed like too much work and too many poke holes so had it done at a hospital instead.
I had a mild allergic reaction, just as everyone EXCEPT Dr. Ding has predicted. I got the 2nd vaccine since I was already one foot in the hole. I had a stronger reaction and was taken by the hospital staff, just like everyone EXCEPT Dr. Ding predicted. Remember he kept assuring me it would be fine and there were no ill effects, blah blah blah.
Per the hospital, I was not allowed to get a booster because the hospital was worried that each subsequent shot would cause a greater allergic reaction. So thanks to this guy who is a doctor for not looking out for his patient's well being AT ALL. But don't worry, it was a weird time and everyone was stressed and not sure what the right thing to do was, so I let that slide.
What really turned me off was their office calling me off the hook multiple times a week telling me I had to come in for a pap smear when I already had my own OBGYN. Even after I told them to stop calling me, they still insisted I come in for a pap smear. Like... why do you want to look at my vagina so bad?? I told the front desk to leave me alone and stop calling me every week, sometimes multiple times a week for this and wouldn't stop until I eventually cursed them out and switched my PCP on my insurance to someone else. So annoying and...
Read moreI had been going to Dr. Ding for many years, but it seems like the success and money have gone to his head. He is also running a scam. I went to his office on November 4th, 2024. I made an appointment and the gentleman on the phone told me I had no co-pay since I met my deductible, which I already knew after being very ill this year I maxed out my deductible and out-of-pocket max. I got to the office, and the women on the front told me I needed to pay my co-pay which I tried to explain to her I didn't but she insisted I did. I tried to pay with card and she told me that it was more money... I hesitantly gave her the $40 dollar cash co -pay and had a bad feeling about it. That day Dr.Ding was in a rush and basically spent 5 minutues with me after telling him I had a disease, he was more in a rush and just left the room. After my visit I called my insurance and checked if I needed to pay them, they told me I was not supposed to give them anything. I called up the next day and they gave me the run-around and told me I would have to wait a month. I called a month later and now they told me their billing manager was not around and would call me back. I have been calling for one month and never got a phone call back from them. I also have received checks in the mail from my insurance from offices that had charged me by accident after meeting my deductible. Which led me to think, why not from Dr. Dings office? It turns out that once they found out they never submitted my visit to my insurance so they could keep the $40 cash. What a joke, I'm so disappointed I used to really look at Dr. Ding as one of the nicest doctors I have ever found but in four years so much has changed. I am changing my primary. Also Dr. Ding is nice but he is kind of clueless about a lot of things, he will start googling things in front of you. As someone who is health educated, he will tell me "You're right" throughout the session but not know much about certain health and basic biology subjects. Find yourself a...
