We are in the process of moving from the west coast to the east coast and looked into this apartment to live in. We have friends that were also going to apply. We started our leasing process with Michelle, who was great! She even called us on a Sunday to do a FaceTime tour because we had asked for that unit specifically. She wanted to give us a chance to apply, since it was shown to someone in person earlier that day and our appointment was for Tuesday. We loved the unit and applied that day. We explained our transitioning jobs and provided all the necessary information. Michelle then left the company and handed all our stuff to Mili. Mili was not helpful and would not work with us. They told us they would get back to us about the application in 3 days, over a week goes by and no updates until I emailed. She stated that "It's a busy rental season and the management is extremely busy." Then they got back to us stating that the application was denied because our jobs are not in NYC, although we explained we are moving for our jobs, but the paperwork was not finalized. I then provided screenshots of my NY license application and text message conversations with my company to prove it would be in NY. I just got an email from Mili stated that it was rejected, sorry, best of luck. It was incredibly rude and unhelpful. She stated that there has even alot of airbnb scammers as if to accuse us. Many people work remote now and the company's headquarters are not in the city you work. When I tried to call to get an explanation, she ignored by phone calls and emails. I asked for managements information so I could explain it to them and she would not give it to me. I found out the apartment was owned by Lalezarian Properties and called them separately and asked for the manager of Hudson 36. They told me it was Charlie and that he would get back to me. I never was contacted or heard back. This has been one of the worst experiences I've ever dealt with when trying to lease an apartment. Do not lease here, find yourself an apartment that actually cares about...

The amenties looked great, the apartments were great, and the location was great. Unfortunately I moved in the first day of the pandemic quarantine and all of the âextrasâ were shut down... I completely understand that.
As the weather started to warm up, we started having problems with the air conditioner. Numerous times it went down and was left wondering if it was my particular unit or a building problem. Would maybe get an email stating that the air was down. I can say however, since June, there hasnât been any air conditioner issues (at least for my unit) and I keep it at a cool 64 degrees. Of course hotter days it takes longer to get cold, but thatâs expected.
In reference to what another tenant wrote. There was one day where all three elevators went down due to a water leak from the roof which also caused the A/C to go out. It was fixed in about 14-16 hours, but people still have to walk up 20+ flights of stairs. I understand things like this happen, however nothing was done to rectify the situation for people who may have health issues or problems climbing that many stairs on a hot summer day. To make it worse, there was hardly any communication from management other than an email sent 10 hours into the shut down stating that due to a leak the elevators were down for an unknown amount of time a that itâs being worked on.
The building is beautiful, but for something so new, itâs weird that itâs having so many issues with the water/ a/c etc. It would be much more manageable if there was more communications from management. There is barely any. (Eg: Iâve emailed about the advertised bike storage three times in the last 3 weeks and I still have yet to get a response)
Management needs to communicate more and be more transparent or else they wonât have any tentants left. Iâm seeing 15+ move outs scheduled every month on the building calendar and Iâm...

From start to finish, my experience moving in was hassle-free thanks to the amazing leasing agents, Alda and Daniel. They were both incredibly helpful, informative, and patient throughout the entire leasing process. Once I settled into my new apartment, I was immediately impressed by the soundproof walls and windows, which made for a quiet and peaceful living environment. The views of the Hudson River are breathtaking and never fail to impress. I also appreciate the fact that the gym and amenities spaces are not ever crowded. The Verizon internet service is fast and reliable, making it easy to work from home. I also love having a gas stove and full-sized appliances in the apartment, and the closets and doors are sturdy and well-constructed, which is a big plus compared to other apartments (heavy duty hinges versus the common cheap white closet door constructions - if youâve toured the area you know what iâm talking about). The A/C and heating have been functioning without any issues (we replaced the stock thermostat with a Nest - works great!) and the shower pressure is fantastic with hot water always available. Recessed lighting in throughout is awesome and also have had no problems with drinking tap water. Trash chute rooms are emptied/cleaned daily and kept in very nice condition. Last but not least, the doormen are extremely friendly and always greet residents by name, making you feel welcome and appreciated. Overall, I am extremely happy with my decision to move here and highly recommend this apartment complex to anyone looking for a comfortable and clean NY living experience.
P.S. The marble bathrooms...
