One star for unprofessional customer service. when I called, someone in the office, unfortunately didn't get her name, told me in the phone that she could schedule me for a consultation with a non-attorney sales person for $150 consultation fee. I didn't feel $150 consultation fee for a sales persion is fair. Thus, I requested to speak with an attorney directly for a few minutes so that I get to feel if the attorney could handle my case. This is also common practice. You get to briefly talk to an attorney before deciding if the attorney is capable of handling your case. If I think the attorney is capable, I will retain the attorney and pay retainer according to an agreement. It is unfair for a customer to just pay even before knowing who her/his attorney is or whether the attorney is capable of handling her/his case. In the phone call, the "someone in the office" didn't inform me that they prefer cash or check and would charge 5% fee for a credit card. The office just assumed that every customer would carry $100 cash or a blank check in their purse. When I was there, I was unhappy for the attitude the lady at front desk had. No appology for the inconvenience or for not telling me the special payment policy in advance. All she did was to keep telling me the bank is downstairs. I know the bank is downstairs but that's not the point. I want to clarify that the lady mentioned above is not the young girl sitting at front desk but a woman at 35ish. While I was waiting, another customer came to check her case status with the same lady in front. Again, the lady just argued with this customer without explaining or apologizing for the delay...
