Alma Driving School — Local services in New York

I enroll to take classes with alma in June. Got the 5 class package. My classes where spread out so far apart that by the time my road test date came around I didnt think I was ready, mind u they cancelled my last lesson that would of been my lesson before me road test. Anyway I enrolled in 4 more classes after that and had to reschedule my own road test because when I would call the school they would tell me they didn't have any test for red hook after about 3 calls to the schedule I decided to book my own road test and guess what I booked it in redhook. Once again they tried to cancell my last lesson before my road test due to the instructor going on vacation. I was not having it so the owner raymond gave my my lesson. I had 2 different instructors one told me do it this way the other no do it that way..So after a total of 9 lessons with these 2 different instructors I still didnt pass my road test. I'm going with another school where I will have the same instructor.. I was told having more than one instructor confuses the student... I would not go there again they took enough...

I absolutely 100% recommend Alma Driving School. I picked them because they specialize in "nervous students," and this was exactly me my first time behind the wheel. But with Alma, I went from zero driving experience to getting my license in just three months!

Elias, my instructor, was so patient, friendly, and encouraging at every class. He guided me step by step through everything I needed to learn, and diligently had me practice it over and over until I got it right. His reassuring attitude gave me the confidence I needed to know I could do it. He is a dedicated professional.

Raymond led the 5-hour pre-licensing class and was very informative and detailed in his presentation. He also drove our group to the road test site and prepped each one of us on the individual route he knew we would take, which was super helpful. And his wife is such a pleasure and delight to chat with!

Again, I wholeheartedly recommend this driving school to anyone, no matter your age or experience. I never thought I could get my license in my early 40s, and here I am!...
